Military from 13 nations will join Russians on the Red Square. Primary allies in the World War II – the United States, Great Britain, France and Poland – as well as former members of the Soviet Union – Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Ukraine – have contributed 70 soldiers each to march through Russia’s main square.
The Russian military will deliver a 10,000-strong force for the anniversary celebration, from the elite honor guard to a joint military tattoo of 1,000 musicians. The public will see 160 pieces of state-of-the-art and historical hardware, from the legendary T-34 tank to its modern descendant the T-90.
It will also be the first public demonstration of the modernized mobile strategic missile system Topol-M and the short-range air defense system Pantsir. Aircraft like the Ka-52 strike helicopter and Tu-160 strategic bomber will fly over the Kremlin at the low altitude of about 300 meters.
[release]One of the most important days of the year is coming up. Victory Day parade in Moscow. Commemorating the defeat of Nazi Germany after its invasion of the Soviet Union. 16% of the population of the Soviet Union died during the war (Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and the nations East of Volgograd (...Stalingrad) like the Caucuses). 24 million men and women lost their lives defending their homeland and their families. Today, May 9th is celebrated to commemorate not only those that died, but to show respect to the veterans that are still living, both domestic and foreign.
For the first time, units from the American, British, Polish, and French militaries will be participating in the parade. Be sure to make some time and watch it Saturday afternoon (Will be Sunday May 9th in Moscow) or just watch a recording of it on Sunday.[/release]

If I can stay up I'll watch it.
As will I, the Red Army's victory over Fascist Germany is something everyone should commemorate.
I wanna go there one day.
Military parades are fucking awesome.

I feel bad for you.
I don't know about you, but if I was a country, I wouldn't want foreign soldiers marching on my soil.
It's all about bringing the countries closer.
What will the US be Marching? Are we sending any tanks to take part? or just soldiers?

Sounds like just soldiers.
Plus, if we sent our tanks the Russians would get jealous and steal them.
why are you so obsessed with russia op
Wakka is one of facepunch's most renowned Communists. He keeps us informed on all Communist activities.
He also lived in Russia if I remember correctly.
