I take Kaku with a pinch of salt considering he thinks aliens have visited earth and stuff like that
I take Kaku with a pinch of salt considering he thinks aliens have visited earth and stuff like that
I think these days he talks out of his ass more often than out of his mouth.
Where did he say that aliens visited earth?
I always pretend I'm being lectured by Heihachi when I watch Michio Kaku.
Where did he say that aliens visited earth?
He's never said it outright, but he did say that 5% of ufo sightings are truly unidentified and can't be dismissed, which kind of implies he thinks they might actually be aliens. He also gets into a lot of "science" shows were he talks about fields he has no experience in as though he actually knows what he's talking about. I'm sure he's great at his own field, but he tends to try and go into other fields he doesn't really have a clue on.
Well outside his own field, he's mostly seen as a popularizer of science, atleast I hope he does.
the problem is that the kind of science he tends to popularize is the oogie boogie word salad nonsense kind
the problem is that the kind of science he tends to popularize is the oogie boogie word salad nonsense kind
Could you give some examples?
Could you give some examples?
the oogie boogie wala luigi kind
Whats with his fingers?

look at his right hand. looks like he smacked someones shit
He's never said it outright, but he did say that 5% of ufo sightings are truly unidentified and can't be dismissed, which kind of implies he thinks they might actually be aliens.
Is this the video you're thinking of? (his most popular video on aliens) It's kind of philosophical though.
He's never said it outright, but he did say that 5% of ufo sightings are truly unidentified and can't be dismissed, which kind of implies he thinks they might actually be aliens.
sounds more like he hasn't ruled out the possibility, and hasn't assumed the fact that it's impossible. kaku co-founded string theory; he's open minded, but not irrational.
sounds more like he hasn't ruled out the possibility, and hasn't assumed the fact that it's impossible. kaku co-founded string theory; he's open minded, but not irrational.
Aliens aren't related to string theory
I really like Michio Kaku. I've been trying to order some of his books but they keep getting lost in the fucking mail and I can't get my money back. :v: Oh well. Maybe when I turn 30 they'll all suddenly pop up in the mail in a big crate, and when I open it he will pop out and teach me string theory.
he's a string theorist.
I don't understand sting theory therefore it's probably wrong.* *Sarcasm
Aliens aren't related to string theory
kaku co-founded string theory; he's open minded, but not irrational.
kaku co-founded string theory; he's open minded, but not irrational.
No he didn't.
No he didn't.
Michio Kaku and Keiji Kikkawa gave a different formulation of the bosonic string, as a string field theory, with infinitely many particle types and with fields taking values not on points, but on loops and curves. just a quick wiki speaking of talking out the ass...
How does that sentence in any way tell you that he co-founded string theory?
"Michio Kaku", "Keiji Kikkawa" "different formulation of the bosonic string, as a string field theory" im done
How does that sentence in any way tell you that he co-founded string theory?
Maybe you should do some proper research some time http://www.aps.org/careers/physicists/profiles/kaku.cfm
After getting his PhD from the University of California, Berkley, Michio joined in on this challenge. He co-founded string field theory, a subset of string theory. String field theory uses the mathematics of fields to explain string theory.

"Michio Kaku", "Keiji Kikkawa" "different formulation of the bosonic string, as a string field theory" im done
Helped reformulate string field theory =/= co-founded string theory. You clearly don't know very much about the topic so perhaps some light reading is in order before you accuse people of talking out their ass. [editline]5th March 2014[/editline]
Maybe you should do some proper research some time http://www.aps.org/careers/physicists/profiles/kaku.cfm
Shows what you know. String field theory is a subfield of string theory. He was not the co-founder of string theory. It's like if you were to attribute the founding of quantum mechanics to Feynman instead of Planck, because Feynman was responsible for QED. I won't hold it against you, but it looks bad when you're wrong and condescending.
I think these days he talks out of his ass more often than out of his mouth.
Why do you say that? I've always liked him.
kaku co-founded string theory; he's open minded, but not irrational.
He cofounded string field theory (kind of), not string theory itself. [editline]5th March 2014[/editline]
he's a string theorist. That's all you have to say.
what is this supposed to mean
what is this supposed to mean
You might want to get used to that lol
You might want to get used to that lol
I'm well aware of the feelings of many physicists toward string theory. The difference is they have some idea what they're talking about.
I'm well aware of the feelings of many physicists toward string theory. The difference is they have some idea what they're talking about.
People who don't have a clue about string theory (like me) might think it sounds impressive to have opinions on it, even if they don't really know what's going on.
