I never got wrestling. All the kids I grew up with were more into Power Rangers and Yu-Gi-Oh than wrestlers.

Maybe it's an American thing.

There's really nothing to "get" about it, it's just a live action movie. So of course it's not real (no shit, Sherlock!), the storylines and drama is what draws people in.
