Some people in the world...
To be honest I don't know whether to feel happy or annoyed.

Why would you feel annoyed?
To be honest I don't know whether to feel happy or annoyed.
I doubt you'd be annoyed that she's not accepting it so I'll just rate "I"
Why would you feel annoyed?
Well I assumed that he meant he was annoyed that her parents would treat her like that. Which I can understand.
That's an incredibly courageous and self-determined young girl. Awful that she has to go through something like that, though.
Smart Kid
This is very sad. Also, she is a very intelligent kid.
aw shes pretty

More or less annoyed at the fact that how in the hell does ones parents treat her that badly and force her to choose to run away.
which religion is it that forces arranged marriages?
why are arranged marriages still a thing
And when she's caught she'll be stoned to death.
I hate religious bullshit, even tho' I'm religious myself :(
She's strong tho', she's gonna make it, and I hope more of her kind will stand up like this to end it.

I think both Hinduism and Islam do that.
uh ..........
One can in fact call a child pretty without being a paedophile, in the same way one can call a woman pretty without being attracted to her.
uh ..........
she is though
Fuck forced marriage.
This shit happens in my country as well.
I'm curious about the subtitles. How correct are they?
I think both Hinduism and Islam do that.
Some forms of Christianity do too. It's utmost ridiculous.
It's very courageous of this girl to stand up to her parents like that, but I wouldn't be surprised if these parents kill her for damaging their reputation or said "alright then, go ahead and kill yourself".
"I'd be better off dead"
This is what the world has come to, no kid should ever have to use that sentence.
Beautiful kid, good sticking up for herself. I hope she gets all the support to stay away from her parents.
I'd adopt a child in a similar situation, especially one so smart and independent. Forcing someone into a marriage pact is such bullshit and if anyone here actually believes that it's totally fine, you've got major issues
I'm curious about the subtitles. How correct are they?
Memri TV is a non-profit organization dedicated to translating media, so they're probably pretty good when it comes to correctness.
Kids these days.

I noticed 2-3 words were off, but nothing major that would change what she said.

except pedophile or not it's a really weird thing to say in this context.
What she said was pretty inspiring to listen to, when the children themselves are speaking out about it, maybe that means there's some progress somewhere. And that there were people around her that actually did support her decision, that's really a great thing...

It's not 'really weird'. What he said was irrelevant, but nothing wrong with it.
aw shes pretty
marry her
She's courageous, to say the least; I was genuinely surprised by how eloquently she expressed herself. Didn't seem like a scared kid running away, but someone taking charge of their own life.

Oh I didn't think of it like that, sorry.
