That MadTV comparison alone is pretty damning. I like how she swapped the genders of the cast to try and hide the plagiarism.
Yeah, way too many times to be just coincidence. Also was surprised to see a younger Peele from 2008 in that first bit.
Wow, who would have guessed that Amy Schumer is a fat talentless hack?

If you didn't watch MadTV you should go back and check it out. You'll probably recognize a lot of the cast, Key and Peele were both really prominent in the show.
The other comics are all extremely talented and funny and orginal. To steal their work like is downright insulting.
i never liked her anyway tbh
amy schumer is horrendously unfunny anyway
Not only did she steal them, she somehow made them all worse with her terrible delivery.
lol, exactly right
Was anyone surprised?
Seriously, I hope everyone noticed the only reason shes anybody is because of PR and the media pushing her because shes a fat independent women who doesnt need no man, not even fucking making a meme here, thats her schitk and thats how shes marketed.
Shes talentless and crap. I got a tiny smirk out of a constant growing wineglass gag she did on her show, then I realized Scary Movie 3 does it way better and its probably been done before WAY before either of them.

Marc Maron talked about this on the latest episode of his podcast, he actually made a lot of good points in Amy's defense and his material was "stolen" as well. It's also pretty weird how 90% of the people who have been banging on about this for months seem to be sweaty neckbeards who just don't like women (one of his arguments)

She straight up copied the first two, its obvious and there's no way around it, not one that I see anyways. Plus the magician one too, nah that can't be a coincidence.
What points did he make though?
So, what are some actually funny female standup comedians? Most of the ones you see, like Schumer, just make really dumb and unoriginal jokes about their vagina or other shit simply concerning their gender.
she has like no charisma compared to the original comedians

i respect the hell out of marc maron, what did he say in her defense exactly? (aside from sweaty neckbeards, which has some truth)
stealing from patrice o'neal? shameful, never liked her anyway, don't even understand how she popped into this fame status

Mary Lynn Rajskub
maria bamford
There's more but I'm blanking out

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are top tier women comedians.

Epic argument, anyone that doesn't like a talentless overweight hack masquerading as a superstar beacon of female liberation and independence is clearly just a sweaty neckbeard who hates women.
stealing from patrice o'neal? shameful, never liked her anyway, don't even understand how she popped into this fame status
She was dating Anthony Jeselnik, who was a big part of Comedy Central for a while. At least, my theory is that because they were dating he pulled a few favors.

Mostly that he honestly thinks she is a good comedian and that parallel thinking exists, their bits were written around the same time so he knows for a fact she didn't steal from him and that people are blowing this way out of proportion for the sake of hating someone (particularly because she is a woman). He makes a lot of good points and I can't summarize Maron in all his glory
I'd recommend you listen to the full episode anyway, it's very good
Schumer part starts at 4:00 mins

They weren't exactly Patrice O'Neal originals.

thanks for sharing this. i'm no fan of schumer but she doesn't strike me as the stealing type

Not just top tier female comedians, top tier comedians in general.

I like how women that do bad shit always just dismiss all of their critics as fat neckbeards.
honestly some of this stuff is super generic and it wouldn't surprise me if it was just parallel thinking and similar senses of humor and delivery. comics break down into really just a few categories as far as personality are concerned (high, medium, or low energy) and then on to their central focus (redneck, cynical middle aged white dude, stoner, "fat", etc)...
I mean seriously, growing up I've thought about how great it would be for me to get knocked out and someone work out my body. My friends have. Surely that's not a weird or uncommon thought, is it?
These comics all are building off similar experiences and shit like that.
... at least that's what I thought until they brought up Wendy Liebman's bit at 6:15. because holy shit the delivery is exactly the same as far as timing is concerned.
Honestly I could understand small elements of plagiarism in her tv show - that's not that ridiculous given the fact that those kinds of shows have teams or writers who may or may not consciously or otherwise plagiarize material.
but she's doing this shit in her stand up. that's bad.
[editline]27th January 2016[/editline]
this is upsetting because I (seemingly the exception here) actually quite like amy schumer. saw trainwreck with my gf and we both enjoyed the shit out of it, despite how camp and dumb as it was

maybe I'm being biased for not liking her but I'll should give her the chance that it might just be a big bad coincidence
To be fair the crazy sex acts with ridiculous name plagiarism has been going on for a lot longer than whoever this is. I know for a fact the "Houdini" has been on Urban Dictionary for a long time under different names.
I feel like the jokes toward the end just are so generic or easy to think of that its no surprise they are similar. The earlier ones clearly look stolen, but the others just kinda show how meh her joke making is.

Some of them are pretty generic, the Patrice O'Neal one being a great example.
I really don't see how some of them aren't copied though, like the MadTV one. It's almost frame-for-frame the exact same.
The "Reasons Not To Date a Magician's" seems almost definitely copied too, there's plenty of material that could have been worked with there but it just happened to be the same two jokes in the same order.
