This is its own game, isn't it?
Yes but I think they may have started calling it a sequel in the same way Far Cry 2 is a sequel
Weird choice of music to put over it. (It's from the Assassin's Creed 3 soundtrack)
That gameplay looks really clunky
Well because it was obviously unfinished and wasn't meant to be seen by the public eye any how, on the basis of what I've seen from numerous sources.

That's pretty weird to call a game set in "the Orient" LA Noire.
With more action and kung fu
Could be China Town.

yeah they should call it LA Orient it fits the theme imo

LA Whorient.
There. literally everything you need to know about it, condensed down into a usable title by the good people of Facepunch.

Wikipedia had it listed as a sequel but calling it LA Noire: Whore of the Orient would be stupid
sounds good
can't wait to shoot opium dealers in the face with a webley
Where's the whore at though?

You're lying through your teeth Dr.C. You know that this game isn't being marketed as a sequel, but you think you're smart enough to get away with posting lies on the internet. Fess up now and the judge might look kindly on it later.

Looks like I made a mistake
Looks like they kept the boring shooting parts and the really tedious chase scenes.

Technically it wouldn't even be a sequel since LA Noire takes place after WW2 and WoO takes place in 1936.
Although not a sequel it's part of the "series"

The shooting parts were fun for me because I took joy in being a cop and slaughtering everyone
I think my reaction to the video looked something like this.

It... is china town.
i wonder what website this video was originally posted on
hmmm
i don't get why it looks so unpolished in its core mechanics if it's using the same engine and base as la noire. i mean, regardless of whether everything here is 100% new models and animations, surely the hit-detection in the gunplay n stuff should still be more-or-less functioning
The first was really good
bet this one will be too
As long as they get rid of the parts where you suddenly turn into a cop who can slaughter 20 guys in the bat of an eye, i'm okay with it
L.A. Noire was pretty good game, I got it cheap in a sale so I can't really complaint but it's the best example of a game you can really play only once.
this is next gen?
really? it looks ok graphically wise, but gameplay, gun gameplay, and the animations look like ass.
It gives me Tintin vibes. A western detective on an adventure in the 1930's orient.
The game was cancelled IIRC because they couldn'r find a publisher/funder i think. this is an old video (not in that it has been on the internet before but as in it's old as in when it was made) and they can't make the game anymore due to no funds IIRC.
la noire 1 spoilers?
[sp]The final part where you are in the sewer killing everyone I can understand, but the part at the movie set where you literally kill like 50 thugs to save one witness or something was really stupid and far-fetched[/sp]
Its odd but LA Noire had some of my favorite gunplay in a game even though it wasn't a shooter.
