Everyone’s been waiting to hear from PQube, the western console publishers of the first Steins;Gate, about the western release of Steins;Gate 0 – and now we finally have news for you! PQube have confirmed with us that they are releasing Steins;Gate 0 in 2016 in both Europe & North America on PlayStation 4 & PlayStation Vita.
You can pre-order it from us already! And – with FREE WORLDWIDE SHIPPING! ^-^ Pick it up on PS4 or PS Vita (or maybe both?)
Steins;Gate 0 is the follow up to the award-winning and chart-topping Steins;Gate – the sci-fi time travel visual novel that took the west by storm just last year. There’s a reason everyone loves it so much. Steins;Gate 0 is more than a simple sequel, instead exploring a branch of one of Steins;Gate’s alternate endings. Okabe and the Future Gadget Lab members, along with new characters, star in this story about AI and the creation of something called “Amadeus” – which can allow you to interact with the store memories of another person. We’re loving what we’ve seen so far!
Hopefully we will get the PC release too, but we won't know about that for a while as it's not out on PC in Japan.
This is awesome news, didn't expect it at all.
Steins;Gate is one of my favorite VNs ever and anyone who enjoyed the more popular animated adaptation should play it, I'm super hyped for 0.
Steins;gate is bascially Japanese BTTF with more Serious and japanese flair.
if you love time travel, there's no reason to not get involved in the S;G fanbase.
full hype for steins;gate 0
wonder which worldline they're going to go with

[sp]the one where he didn't go back. Anime Episode 23-B took care of this anime-side so there will also be a anime adaptation.[/sp]
[sp]I'd rather just watch the eventual anime[/sp]
Its nice that its releasing in the west though.
Holy shit, 2016 too, was expecting next year.

To be fair the VN and the anime are very different experiences for S;G. It's a different feeling to watch Okarin and to be Okarin, and the VN gets the luxury of going more into depth about the scientific explanations for things and its cast's characterizations.

[sp] Do you remember when he got a message from his future self that figured out what Stiens;Gate was and how to do it? I think this game is about him[/sp]
Well I guess I have a reason to pick up a vita now.
Or maybe that playstation TV seeing as they're like £40 now.

Unfortunately, it looks like the previous translation team won't be working on 0. It's a shame because they were really passionate about the series and did a pretty good job with the original S;G. I hope the new translation team will put in quality work
This must be the choice of Steins Gate...
[sp]PC release on Steam for this and the original pls[/sp]
