So MGMT's new album, Congratulations, comes out April 13. Two days ago, they released one of the tracks, Flash Delirium, as a free download on their website. So if you like MGMT, psychedelic indie music, or just free music, maybe you should download it. hmmm... it's alright. I wouldn't say it's good though. def. not as good as Time to Pretend, Kids and Electric Feel though. sounds like all of the boring moments from the last album.

I thought Time to Pretend and Kids were okay, but I loved their psychedelic stuff on Oracular Spectacular. There are the people who like those 3 songs that were the most popular, and then there are the people who like the stuff on their last album. Their new album is pretty much like Oracular Spectacular, and they even said in an interview there's no "Kids" or "Time to Pretend" on the album.
FD is pretty sweet. I'm glad they're taking a step back from the synth-dom'd pop crap like Electric Feel. Those songs were good, but the REST of OS had so many gems that went unheard and unappreciated. This album won't be as well received in the same crowd guaranteed, but I hope it finds a nice spot in "Flaming Lips, neo psychedelia" crowd and flourishes. It's where they rightfully belong and I can't wait for the rest of the album.
I prefered "Future Reflections" and "Of Moons, Birds and Monsters". They were the best tracks on Oracular Spectacular. So I quite enjoy this

They said that it was going to be mostly like the psychedelic second half of Oracular Spectacular, which is exactly what I wanted, but I wasn't really sure on how they would deliver. Flash Delirium really boosted my confidence in the new album.
Ah this song is fucking awesome, I love it. I'm so happy they're making more songs like Of Moons, Birds, and Monsters, The Handshake, and Future Reflections, etc.
Good, but I am disappoint in MGMT's lack of a 320kb/s download.
