Just what the heck is 2-14 September 1752 anyway
Its days..
In the British Empire and all it's related holdings at the time, on the 1st January 1752 they decided to make the switch from the Julian calender to the Gregorian calender, to take effect on 2nd September. That required the days between 2 and 14 be essentially deleted as the Julian calender was, by that time, inaccurate by 11 days.
Well how servilely informative!

I thought everyone knew this from the Dan Brown Books/Scrooge McDuck Comics?
That post needed a "The More You Know!" after it.
My bad, the change was adopted on 1st January, and took effect in September. EDIT: Or wait, the first revision was perfectly alright, although the current one is more informative.

Nothing would happen, nobody can be that dumb now, can they?
Imagine if the Obama administration were to try to do something like that today...
We already had something similar with Pluto.
