Well, there is a lot of Green Day hate. It's one of the cool things to hate. See, what happened was that Green Day used to kick ass and play small venues all over Berkeley and the Bay area, and down in LA. Then a record company wanted to give them a bunch of money to make more albums. Then people started hating them for this.
I've always kinda liked Green Day. You can't hate a band for selling out. Other people hate them because they say they "suck" but I'm not quite sure what they suck at . . . I mean, they're punk band, they're supposed to suck, right? Other say that they are derivative or rip off some other band . . . again, um, punk?
Still others just don't like them because they don't like their music . . . and hey, that I can dig.

Nice job bringing politics in a thread about a song, completely unrelated and completely uncalled for.
And getting upset? A lot of us dislike the song. We're tactfully responding that we dislike it and are reminiscing about other good songs by the same band and how we may have enjoyed the band in the past.
