[img]http://filesmelt.com/downloader/barren2.png[/img] Suddenly, a box full of people appears! They're not sure how they got here, but they're the only survivors from their village. [img]http://filesmelt.com/downloader/barren3.PNG[/img] The chieftan and his wife emerge from the box. Their son peeks outside. [img]http://filesmelt.com/downloader/barren4.PNG[/img] Later that day, everyone starts exploring. The swordsman discovers the unpleasant depth of the marsh water, and the builder starts working on a large building (there were lots of supplies in that box). The chieftan intends this to be his mansion, but another family (probably the swordsman's) will move in for the time being. The builder's wife looks about. Since she's not had kids yet, she's what passes for hot totty around here. [img]http://filesmelt.com/downloader/barren5.PNG[/img] The mansion is finished, and the families light lamps to keep away monsters in the dark.

Cool so far, i'd love to see it build up, and then be destroyed by some dark and evil monster.

Make them Worship Splurgy. We demand it. Build a giant statue in your honor.

All I read was "got the idea from the mini people thread". I was about to tell you off but then I realized it wasn't mini people. Story looks good so far.

Oh, it's the guy who teleported them there! The builder gets told to start on a house for the swordsman. [img]http://filesmelt.com/downloader/barren7.png[/img] Oh, good job, builder. Now you've got to repair this! The chieftan finds a stone strewn field, and decides he wants a stone palace built! As it happens, that area ought to be cleared of stone anyway, because the soil's quite fertile. The swordsman finds fish! Huzzah. They'll have to wait until tomorrow, when their kids grow up.

I laughed at how i said "do it" then everyone else said it :D Anyway: Looking good so far Splurgy!

The builder's getting a bit fed up of worshipping Splurgy. The gang of villagers that attacked them worshipped some other dude, and they managed to level the place! What did Splurgy do? Popped them in a box and plopped them down in some wasteland. He's built two homes and still lives in a hovel! Ugh. He starts carving an idol to CodeMonkey. The chieftan sees this, and isn't happy. Screw the Chieftan. The divine word of Codemonkey is spread through this new land. He sends a holy stone tablet with a short-term plan on how to crush the infidels. 1. Reporduce - I don't care how you do it, get it done. 2. Finish my damn statue, Splurgy's has been there for two days and you only have a head. 3. Develop weapons for which to purge the Holy Land of infidels.

Then the builder mysteriously vanishes. He was crazy, worshipping Codemonkey. He probably just wandered off, being so crazy and all. His wid-wife, his [i]wife[/i], moves into the now vacated cottage. She's unhappy - she's got no kids and she's not a virgin, so unless her husband comes back from "the wilderness" she's pretty much screwed.
