Looks pretty shitty to me.
The GUI is retarded and it's solely focused on Google's products, nothing else really.
It's very lightweight and is obviously for netbooks, but I wouldn't even waste my time and install it on a VM.[/QUOTE]
Figured this belonged here as well.
I don't like the chrome UI as an operating system interface, but hey atleast they are doing something different.
I agree, it's bad design. I'm sorely disappointed at the idea that there will never be a realistic competitor to the Windows Operating System, Chrome doesn't help this.
Disgusting.
Well i for one liked it
but id never use it, just update chrome with this google.
Pretty cool that they found a way to make Chrome work as the entire computer's interface. I'd definitely use it on a netbook or similar portable device. I've always loved Chrome (the browser)'s interface; it's so simple and intuitive.
Not that this will replace Windows. Hell no. It's just a really good option for people with low-power computers/devices.

Well it fits its purpose of getting you on the internet as quick as possible.
I wonder if it records everything you search, put on your hard drive, and think, and sends it to google just like chrome does
When this comes out, def. gonna put it on my 10 year old laptop and see how well it runs :smug:
I would use it if I had a casual netbook.
I really like it, but the lack of wi-fi connections in my city and the unreliability of my connection won't make me get this OS.
Google chrome is great for ripping .swf files of the internet tho
As soon as he hit the button to start it i got an email and vista made that noise, it fit so perfectly.
