Everything is so wavy [editline]16th September 2011[/editline] That was pretty cool though, I thought I'd just end up getting dizzy the entire time
Holy crap, that looks strange. Like the world's a sine-wave
Trippin' the fuck out man. That camera must've weighed almost nothing.
The effect is called Rolling Shutter. This is also cool, it's a helicopter blade filmed with a high speed camera and the video slowed down hundreds of times, you can see how much they flex.
Trippiest thing I've seen all day.
That was supercool. Instantly made me think of this
This thread is giving me the same headache I got when the city folded over itself inception.
oh god dont watch this while high.
My eyes hurt.
Probably the trippiest thing I've seen all day
watch as everything turns into a wave length

Such an awesome video!
the song is boneless by ibenji in the 'acid trip shader mod' - this video got me into ibenji
Wow, amazing, but hard on the eyes after a while!
That poor cameraman.
What is the effect called when something rotates fast enough that it looks like it isn't even spinning? Like in this video how it looked like it wasn't spinning anymore.
That was supercool. Instantly made me think of this
Oh, so THIS is where my spike in views of the last 24 hours is from? I wrote that shader for the shader mod and made this vid.
Man, THERE'S an interesting view of the world. I love it; the blades are moving so fast, but so consistently, that they're spinning the same rate (or multiples of the rate) that the video is capturing frames in, and as it reduces or increases in rate, the image turns into a big sine-wave depicting the frequency of the spinning. It's shit like this that makes me glad I know how lights and movies work. Also reminds me of this; same effect, but from a different perspective.
Trippin' the fuck out man. That camera must've weighed almost nothing.
Yea I'm surprised it kept balance. I wonder if he added equal weight to the opposite side.
Yea I'm surprised it kept balance. I wonder if he added equal weight to the opposite side.
It was placed in the middle of the rotors

1:30 and onward I cant figure out how to put this into words, so here's a picture to do it for me:
Looks like the beginning of a bad trip.
