1 hour of Ahoy. :jawdrop: :speedfap:
I think this is his biggest project yet. RetroAhoy: Quake was longer, but it had a lot of information which was already available, for this one he did a lot of research and interrogation himself. Damn, this guy is fucking nuts, I love his content to death
I love how Ahoy has kind of turned into an investigative reporter with this project.
Said to myself I would watch maybe 10 minutes of this, I watched it all. Even having to turn away to do something else half way through was agonising. Some amazing work done here. Fantastic note about [sp]video game preservation to end it[/sp]
What the fuck is Ross Scott doing in here? 1:00:00 [sp]No complaints, just didn't see that one coming.[/sp]
That was really interesting. Had no idea about all this before.

Considering Ross Scott's Game Dungeon series and his penchant for obscure, forgotten and lost games, he couldn't be more of a better fit on a video on one of the biggest urban legends in video gaming.

One theory I liked was that the story is based on a prototype for Tempest that had the whole tube rotate instead and that caused motion sickness. I can't find any footage of that so it's probably as fake as everything else surrounding Polybius.
I honestly didn't know he did anything other than Freeman's Mind, that's my bad on that one.
His Game Dungeon series is great. I say check it out when you have a chance.
I didn't feel this was as tight as the RetroAhoys, but I will always love me some Ahoy and his Bonus eps are great. The investigation aspect of it is curious, but it lingers for way too long on red herrings and easy fakes (though I guess to someone more interested in the subject, that's what they're there for, really)
If they talk about preserving games before they're lost Ross Scott is a perfect fit here because it's like, one of the only things he really preaches about. He regularly rails on developers for always-on DRM or requiring connection to a server to play a game because that means a game will eventually be rendered completely unplayable and never see the light of day again.

Now I'm curious if he was actually on to something when the guy said his post was "very specifically worded". Maybe someone can figure something out? Or maybe it's nothing, but it would be neat. I also want to applaud the creator because I was only going to watch like 5 minutes to see if it was interesting and I ended up watching it entirely. :v: Very good!

That was a damn good watch. Ahoy's videos are always something fun to watch.
I love how Ross has mixture of flippant commentary and enthusiastic rambling whenever he speaks about something.
I should watch more Ahoy.
That was a really cool watch. I remember hearing this from a friend of mine who was really into creepypastas when we were doing door to door shit for our high school. It always stood out to me but I never believed it passed face value. Then I stumble upon this video and it gave me that little chilly feeling. Great detective work as always from this channel.
This was really interesting, and a great ahoy video as usual. There was one thing that really bugged me, and that was the constant voice recordings thing. Some of them felt too acted and just didn't feel legitimate, kinda broke the flow of the video for me.

-snip- Can't figure it out on my phone, but someone post the music video for Less Than by NIN.

Ahoy does mention how some less than successful arcade games have been essentially lost to time, but that's about the extent of it. Still, this sort of weird historical fun-fact kind of thing seems like the kind of thing he'd have interest in so it's not completely out of left-field.

he made one mistake by saying the german guy had a connection to "sinneslöschen" through the word "sinnlosen" but those arent really connected sinnlosen is a variation of sinnlos, e.g. senseless other than that me like
