RT.com has been banned on Reddit’s /r/news section, with moderators accusing it of spamming. Puzzled with absurd allegations, RT views the sanctions as an act of censorship with many redditors expressing the same concern.

r/news is usually shit but I'm glad they had the nerve to ban RT with all their propaganda bullshit. r/WorldNews does nothing but post RT articles about how Snowden is the Messiah and have gone down the r/atheism route of condemning MacArthur as a dictator etc.
We should ban it here as well.

The head moderator of /r/news /u/douglasmacarthur apparently simply does that source and decided to ban it off the allegation that they are using vote manipulation.

It really annoys me when people quote The Daily Mail and other tabloids when they post news; it doesn't happen over here quite as much thankfully, but on certain subreddits (notably r/worldnews) it sometimes ends up being quite common - seams to be mostly people from America who don't really know just how biased and sensationalist those papers usually are.

A better idea is encouraging people to read more than one source (usually from sources with differing biases/no bias at all) and let them make their own mind up, after all we are big boys and girls and don't need people filtering what we hear and where its from.
Oh and crack down of people spamming threads with "Fox/Daily Mail/RT is a shit source" instead of commenting on the story.

This same logic could be used to allow infowars threads to be posted.
As bad as Fox is, it's not funded and run by the US government. RT is beyond biased, it's an apparatus of the state and pure propaganda.
