I'm surprised this hasn't been posted already - or at least, I haven't been able to find it
Like this thread if you think less people should like and more people should buy vaccines.
Never knew, thanks for pointing it out UNICEF!
Good.
It's about time a company starts to push out this fact. I hope more charitable companies do it soon.
Liking posts like these is such a lazy and arrogant way to ''show'' that you care
And yet the media still reports on likes and retweets like they're some kind of important internet currency.
Only problem is that it's UNICEF Sweden, people in Nordic countries are generally smart enough to already know that they're not doing jack-shit.
This needs to be targeted towards Americans. Preferably with additional billboards deep down in the Bible Belt.

Its called "slacktivism", it is indeed what lazy people do instead of doing something useful (like in this case, donating €4).
A good example is that Kony shit last year, all that awareness raised by people sharing and liking did pretty much fuck all.

Thing is, that as one thread posted not long ago pointed out, that works, TO A DEGREE.
There are profiles that hoard massive amount of likes, get indexed on these sites as popular, and then are sold to the highest bidder, who completely repurposes them for their own advertisement.
Of course, I am unsure if anything has been done against that since then, but it would be funny if UNICEF started selling their profile and buying the vaccines with that money. It's unlikely they could, tho.
likes aren't nearly as good as physical donations but they are better than nothing
after all, even these videos and images unicef are posting now wouldn't be watched by anyone without sharing via social media
Of course they don't.
But I sent out at least a thousand of prayers to africa. Those helped right?
Some danish museum put a Ice sculpture of a polar bear outside their museum. Then they made it so that the amount of cooling was based on likes. A pretty nice social networking experiment actually.

I'm fairly sure a few people in sweden still watch TV
This is good, slacktivism is harmful to society

Tsk, with the weather we're having here in Denmark, that wouldn't need a single like to stay frozen forever.
I've seen this on TV and I'm so glad people are finally putting facebook armchair warriors in their place.
Donate some cash you lazy sod.
I understand the native language the kid in the video is speaking...:O

This is what Denmark looks like all year around. Perfect example of a typical danis- lego family.

This probably one of the most arrogant, passive-aggressive blanket statements I've ever read in Sensationalist Headlines.
Sensationalist. Headlines.
Let that sink in for a minute.
lego family.

I'm not from Scandinavia and I've been to Denmark twice, I can confirm that everything is indeed made of lego.
You're all horrible people for giving us free publicity!
Yeah, ok

Good thing we can buy vaccines with publicity right?

And it's either too cold or too hot.
It's like Britain, except less rain or fog.
