Rock/metal without singer, what is this genre called?

So yeah, is there and what is genre that sounds like rock/metal but without actual singer, only instruments. Because I heard quite some bands that have great instrumental music but singer ruins everything.

It's not a "genre" at all, it could be anything from surf rock to post-metal.

mostly math rock and post rock. other than those two genres you won't find many more instrumental bands

I know.

But the instrumentation is downright orgasmic.

Unfortunately you can't use most death metal as ambient tracks for gamemodes because the majority of people have no taste for the vocals. Plus when a song has vocals, its hard to make it ambient.

I'll tell you what, though, most of the death metal songs I listen to have instrumentation composition that would be more than kick ass as action music.
