It's his production company, he's not the director. Instead they got the guy that directed Wrath of the Titans, Battlefield LA, and everyone's favorite family friendly film, Texas Chainsaw Massacre The Beginning. Which makes even less sense than Bay doing it.

Say what you want but this. From a fan perspective the movie will be shit but as a blockbuster it'll be nice. Not a complicated movie just some Ninja Turtles with lots of explosion and stuff. Can't believe they somehow shoehorned in Shredder though lol.
On an unrelated note, Megan Fox got so much plastic surgery that I didn't even recognize her in the first shot. Still hot but damn it looks so artificial and crafted. Does anybody know when she did this?

Please don't try and force a serious atmosphere on something like this, a kids show, that's known for being goofy and non-serious.

Nickelodeon loves getting cheap crappy directors.
A hardcore, realistic, gritty, explosion packed, action movie directed by Michael Bay with Megan Fox in it. Okay, okay.
And then add giant, freaky looking, teenage, mutant, ninja turtles. IT DOES NOT FIT. Even the name of the cartoon suggest exactly that - a cartoon. Its like having a Tom and Jerry thriller movie packed with explosions. IT JUST DOESNT FIT.
