Jose Alfonso Aviles Guns Down Daughter's Lover, Mother Over Lesbian Relationship - Polidicks

Jose Alfonso Aviles isn't the most enlightened man. Back in April, his then-17-year-old daughter was having a relationship with 24-year-old Norma Hurtado. Dad didn't approve. Jose apparently just couldn't come to grips with his daughter being a lesbian... Norma Hurtado was gunned down for a relationship she was having with Aviles daughter Police say that in the past, he'd sent texts threatening to kill Norma and her mother. That anger boiled over April 19, while Aviles' daughter was visiting Norma. He was drunk and stewing that day. And thanks to Texas' liberal gun laws, he was also heavily armed, because it's always safer when hammered angry guys have ready access to weaponry. That's just old fashioned common sense. So he drove to Norma's house in Austin, Texas. When she answered the door, he shot her. He also killed Norma's mother, 57-year-old Maria Hurtado. While Aviles' daughter rushed to aid both women, dad fled with an accomplice to San Antonio, where he was eventually arrested by a SWAT team. Yesterday, Aviles was indicted on capital murder charges. The hit came just a month after his daughter turned 18. According to Facebook postings, she and Norma had been anxiously awaiting that day so they could be together without her father's interference.
