The publication of key financial performance data from the NHS in England will be delayed until after the election, the BBC understands.
Regulator NHS Improvement had wanted to publish data on the scale of hospital deficits but was advised against it by the government.
NHS Improvement said it was "disappointing" the results could not be published until after the election.
The Department of Health and the Conservative Party did not comment.

Bullshit. Release it now! What excuse are they using for holding it back?
Odds on they're just going to redact the real state of the finances of the NHS and publish some sanitised rubbish making tall claims about how it successfully weathered the current crisis it's finding itself in. :vs:

So people don't realise how badly the Conservatives fucked it up until they can't take their votes back.

Who would they vote for anyway as an alternative to the conservatives?

Lib dems/Labour both have valid and well costed manifestos which are a reasonable alternatives.
The regulator should probably leak it anyway, then refuse to accept any sanctions the Tories try to throw at it.

Something something "purdah rules" although this doesn't really seem to fit under them so I'm gonna go with attempted censorship
