Planes II: Fire and Rescue - The Pixar movie set ‘above the world of Cars’ will return to the big screen next summer. Deadline reports that Disney has lined up Modern Family star Julie Bowen to play a character called Dipper, who is an obsessive fan of main character Dusty Crophopper. John Lasseter, the Chief Creative Officer of Walt Disney, added that the plot with be ‘dedicated to all of those firefighters that put their lives on the line to protect people they don’t know.’
http://metro.co.uk/2013/08/10/planes-sequel-fire-and-rescue-announced-by-disney-3918996/
Who needs critical success when you can make money
Straight to DVD.
But if they make Boats instead they can make more money from merchandise!
Lasseter what are you doin man
Nooooooo just no... I hope it gets rushed and plumpets into the ground like what a plane does when it crashes. Hence the title "Fire and Rescue" But there is no rescuing.
21.27% return on investment isn't that weak.
John Lasseter, the Chief Creative Officer of Walt Disney, added that the plot with be ‘dedicated to all of those firefighters that put their lives on the line to protect people they don’t know.’
Because of the risks you take to save lives, we're making a shitty CG cashgrab sequel in your honor :v:
Wouldn't a third installment of Cars be more appropriate if this is supposed to be an homage to firemen and women?
Wouldn't a third installment of Cars be more appropriate if this is supposed to be an homage to firemen and women?
You know what would be really appropriate for an hommage to firemen and women ? Not a fucking disney movie
I didn't even know this was out yet
21.27% return on investment isn't that weak.
$10 million on a film from a really good studio is
These movies about talking vehicles have gotten really old. Cars 1 was okay, but everything after just makes me wish they'd work on new things instead.
OK, so this is not a Pixar film. Was worried there for a second.
and still no news of the highly anticipated Bumpercars ugh
The sequel was planned long before Planes even hit theaters.
0/10 should of made a submarines sequel
Straight to DVD.
Yep just like Open Season 2 & 3
What if the tribute to firemen is a re-enactment of 9/11?
0/10 should of made a submarines sequel
They should have used submarines instead of planes in the first place if you ask me, that has potential.
Proof that Disney was heading in the right direction for animation. But Planes was just a huge lazy step backwards, why make another movie that people don't want?
this is pretty late considering they say that theres gonna be another sequel at the end of the credits to Planes.
OK, so this is not a Pixar film. Was worried there for a second.
exactly why the movie is even making money. they marketed it as if it were a pixar movie
I cant wait for Trains. Then Disney Presents: Planes, Trains, and Automobiles.

You know how much those little tikes love things like that?
Humans ®.
I hope they dont botch that sequel. Same goes for Finding Dory
I hope there isn't a sequel because they'd just go and fuck it up.
Why are you even looking at rotten tomatoes for an accurate representation of the movies success. Last I checked, 4 year olds don't critique movies on the internet. They've made plenty on the movie itself, will make even more when it's out on DVD and the amount they've made on toys likely blows both of those numbers out of the water. In other words, Cars and Planes are for kids, and they love it. It doesn't really matter what you think. [editline]fghj[/editline] Personally speaking, I think Planes is the worst thing out there. Fucking Dane Cook playing a crop duster that it afraid of heights named Dusty Crophopper. Jesus shit that's retarded. I thought Cars was dumb too. But again, that doesn't matter because it's for 5 year old, not me.
Aw, I was hoping for a WW2 Planes movie. I want to see talking Panzers driving under the Arc de Triumphe and talking planes firebombing Dresden.
