But isn't that... physically impossible?!
But isn't that... physically impossible?!
Everything can glitch on a old pc or a 360.
From what I can tell by the frame at 0:26, it's fake.
ent_fire !picker disablemotion [editline]11th June 2011[/editline] he binded the command above to a key thats how he managed to do it in constant motion
This actually happened to me and a friend in a custom portal 2 co-op map. We had finished a section of the room and moved on to the second and I accidentally moved my portal that had a blue funnel thing holding up the laser cube and it got stuck in the corner.
Something like this happened to me in coop. http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/578924792228014938/775BCFCB47399FE3B86C69F3A1704441DA61C7BE/
I'm think it may be due to the top cube going to sleep, and he managed to pull the middle cube out without disturbing it. But then again im pretty sure objects that close to the player can't go to sleep unless they're in water. It is a mystery.
Everything can glitch on a old pc or a 360.
It's the code not the hardware...
Those cubes are bugged as hell, I had one balancing on one edge.
Hey, it's a great game, it's allowed a bug or two. I still cracked up at the Dun-dun-DUUUUUUUN.
Happened on my maps too :P
I bet Valve put in some code that purposely holds refractor cubes in place when they're shining a laser somewhere, so light pushes don't disturb it. If you notice, bumping into one while it's shining doesn't make it move, whereas it does when you bump into a normal cube. They probably just forgot to have it check for gravity. That seems like a very Valve-like thing to do. :v:
You can do a glitch like this on the zombie master mod, put any physics object on top of your head (a barrel for example) and then crouch and walk away. It will stay floating in that spot.

[editline]12th June 2011[/editline] Also setting goddamn cubes in the goddamn buttons designed for cubes were a goddamn bitch.

wouldnt have been funny without the sound effect
If you notice, bumping into one while it's shining doesn't make it move
yes it does
It's haunted obviously.
It's the code not the hardware...
Actually, you're wrong, some old intel chips couldn't round properly, thus producing different behavior in games. I mean like a 0.000001 difference, but it happens.
