Nintendo just recently had another Direct and they shown off a trailer for Majora's Mask. The Japanese version however shows off a lot more footage and more of the new features.
ill be honest, i never had an interest in Zelda, but I might give it a shot because its been praised over and over again.

I'd recommend going with Ocarina of Time as a starting place for 3D Zelda if you're interested in getting into the series. Or try A Link to the Past if you want to start with the 2D games.
first thing I noticed is how the game runs on 60 fps compared to the n64 version
it's like I'm in the future!

Did OoT3D ran at 60?
I heard it didn't. I have it but I feel like it doesn't.

I think the fps was lowered if you turned on 3d. don't remember, but I'm pretty sure it usually ran on 60fps
I don't think it ran at 60 but it did run way better than the original. ALBW ran at a perfect 60 constantly even in 3d mode... Unlike Pokemon x and y, which would frame drop for no reason and was unplayable in 3D
All I know it was smoother then the original and the GC port.
Glad to see more stuff running at 60. It's still so unnaturally beautiful to me. Especially after a 2-3 hours session in Hyrule Warriors and its choppy framerate.
Something's bothering me about that moon model.
That weird eye on some of the bosses is new, plus that thing with the Giant's Mask where Link twirls Twinrova around.
Plus it looks like the save system is getting reworked.
Man this looks fucking amazing. Honestly Majoras Mask is ugly as fuck compared to OoT(mostly the dungeons). But this remake is exactly what it needed, already those view snippets of the world look SO much better.
Guess MM is really just such a good game when all I can complain about is how it looked on the n64 compared to OoT lol. Also A FUCKING DEDICATED MASK BUTTON. holy fuck that is such a quality of life improvement.
Moon also looks a lot better from the first time we saw it, maybe im crazy.

majora's mask's aesthetic is perfect. ocarina of time is the one that looks like shit nowadays

Ocarina of Time for the 3DS ran at 30 frames per second, the original N64 version ran at 20. Majora's Mask 3DS is probably going to run at 30 frames unless the New 3DS will allow the game to take advantage of the newer hardware.

It won't.
Eiji Aonuma sits down and plays Majora's Mask 3DS.

The announcement trailer was released at 60fps. I assumed that was an indication that MM3D would run at 60. A Link Between Worlds runs at 60, so it is certainly possible.
It certainly seems a lot more vibrant now. I don't think I like it for the ocean, it loses the bleak and murky feel.
I was hoping to see more of the fishing that was added, and from the looks of it, I guess Twinmold was the boss that got redone.
Also that voice work for the trailer really suited the HMS.
Holy antialiasing batman

Heh, it's a 3DS game, what were you expecting, 16x AA and Parallax mapping?
what did they do to Link? he looks even younger now
I was expecting another trailer with the Riddler of steel track playing in the background.
