It actually got funded 10k over it's goal, so we better see some fucking multiplayer/mod support. [editline]18th February 2015[/editline] Also this is the weirdest montage parody ever. Can it even be classed as that?

i see this is where all of their kickstarter budget went
Wasn't expecting it getting funded. Played alpha version and it was quite boring. Also gameplay didn't seem that fast paced as advertised
I wanted to like it but the music was grating and the actual gameplay was kinda dull, the sound design was weak as fuck too which attributed to that. I really hope to chalk this up to it being not even alpha and that maybe we might get something really good out of it, but idk, we'll see
The Aaron Paul part made me burst out laughing.
The advertising is, like, the only good thing they've got going here from what I've seen. The previews of actual gameplay seem so slow and repetitive. It's almost too ironically retro to be fun, they really should have tried a bit harder with the gameplay, unless they're hiding something.
I dunno about you guys, I'm having a blast with the pre-alpha they put up. I think that the game already is good in a sense, the gore and the music are fucking amazing already, and the gameplay is also enjoyable. I want to see how it will look like with futher development, it will end up being at least good.
i think pre alpha is kinda the key word also i love how painfully 90s that website is. ive never looked at their website before
People need to realize though pre alpha versions of any game will look insanely shit, even if they have interesting concepts. I bet you pre-alpha HL1 or HL2 was hilariously bad. Pre-Alpha Dues Ex was probably god awful compared to release. Mario 1 probably looked more like Tomas was alone graphically. I guarantee Zeno Clash amounted to shitty fist weapons in a hl2 map. Alpha basically means the game isn't even a full game yet. Pre-alpha is literally a concept prototype, it is hardly even a game period. It's just a level or 2, some really shitty enemies that are thrown in from hastily done concept art, and some awkwardly balanced gameplay.
I think it looks neat. Reminds me of Dark Forces II/Mysteries of the sith
I feel bad for remembering almost all the commercials they showed in this. I spent way too much time in front of a TV when I was younger.
The entire game and it's 90's catch is to squeeze money out of you nerds.
The entire game and it's 90's catch is to squeeze money out of you nerds.
I'd say the fact that it's really fun is more the thing that's gonna squeeze money out.
The entire game and it's 90's catch is to squeeze money out of you nerds.
So, because it has this nostalgic appeal, it means we shouldn't spend money on it? I never experienced the 90's like the people they're marketing to, and I found the game to have potential. Also, "The entire game"? Does that mean that the gameplay is trying to "squeeze" money out of me? Does that also mean that a game dev shouldn't expect to get money? And that the entire game loses it's values due to the style? Also, since you are at it, why don't you say that Shovel Knight is also trying to squeeze money of people? Or, heck, any other game, since they're all marketed for a certain demographic that is attracted by it's style.
Seriously, the game looks like alot of fun. I'm happy to fund it.
