Age limits on the internet. Hahahahahhahahaa oh wow that's the biggest joke ever.
They just wanted to fit in with the cool kids :saddowns:
How is this news? [editline]19th April 2011[/editline] Hyves is a myspace clone by the way.
I like the way they assume that we are all completely unaware that kids under 13 use social networking sites. Do they really think we are able to stick our heads that far up our asses.
Oh shit Kids are on Facebook! Quick ban them from it so they cannot experience things they will experience while going about they're everyday lives anyway!
hoLY shit i neVER knew This woUDL happen. CALL THE PARENTS Oh MHGOD.
This has been a problem since the start of the fucking internet and now it's mainstream as oxygen they give a shit NOW?
When I read the title I said to myself, "No shit."
It's amazing really, are these social networking sites run by complete retards? We noticed it before they even realised they HAD users.
In other news the sky is blue.
This just in! Dogs have fur!
What rock have you been hiding under?
:foxnews: Scientists discover fire by banging two rocks together, this and more at 10. :foxnews:
Who gives a shit?
I go to elementary schools and do anti-bullying presentations for the kids. The topic is usually oriented towards digital bullying, so naturally we touch on the topic of Facebook. Kids in grade 3 have iPhones and Facebook. It's not really a surprise anymore.
My neighbors gave their child a cellphone when she was in first grade. The father is a doctor or something so they don't care if they are spending too much on stuff.
BREAKING NEWS Kids can also access porn on the internet too! It's obviously the government's fault for not regulating it, not parents! more at 11.
BREAKING NEWS Kids can also access porn on the internet too!
Facebook requires users to enter their date of birth prior to sign up - but many children lie
Lying on the internet? Dear god, our children are fucked.

It's not really a surprise anymore.
This is society now. And it's a good thing...the concept of a social networking site is pretty valuable, no matter what trends pop up due to the user base. It's another expedient method of communication and socialiation. As for kids having phones that young? I really don't see the problem. I'd sure as hell want to be in contact with my kid as often as humanly possible, if they've earned one with a few fancy lights and features, then that's fine too. Turning kids into technological retards is just going to slow down our progress. Introducing them to it from an earlier age helps thwart that.
This is not new nor surprising

..Uhm..Duh? It's like people don't realize that all you have to do is put in a fake birthdate (for those sites that require an age). Shit. I was doing that when I was a kid to sign up for websites.
"cyber bullying" i want to make this phrase a living human so i can murder it
My little sister uses FB, and there's spam everywhere with apps & sharing shit :smith:
Oh please, my 7 year old cousin uses facebook.
"cyber bullying" i want to make this phrase a living human so i can murder it
We don't even need the goddamn phrase. If people are getting "bullied" over the internet, why not just call it 'bullying"?
