That's right, a conspiracy theory got torn apart by a damn GPU.
People who argue that the moon landing photos were faked, because you can't see stars, are fucking stupid, they wont spend 15 minutes reading about the basics of camera exposure.
Also at the time the moon landings happened we were still using film for the most part when we made movies. The apollo missions had several hours of live continuous broadcast from the moon, and it was pretty much impossible to have such a long shot from a single film camera or even a few cameras.
Clearly Nvidia is in on the conspiracy
Good thing it's all documented and it's technologies have been used long before the apollo 11 missions and you can use it even today
Most hoax theories revolve around the fact that the footage from the moon is footage from earth but slowed down, and in order to look as it did you either have to shoot at a high fps and play it back at normal fps, or shoot at normal fps and play it back slow. To shoot at a high fps you need to have a film camera because back then there were no high speed digital cameras. Also the digital storage capability was very limited, though there were some magnetic disk recorders that could hold about 30 seconds of footage and play it back slow.
If you capture normal speed video for the apollo missions and play it back at 1/3 speed to fake lunar gravity and the 10fps rate you need about 47 minutes of continuous video at 30fps. If they used film they would need a really, really big film magazine for 47 minutes of film shot at 30fps. The live broadcast was transmitted on to TVs, and faking that live broadcast would be impossible because the technology to fake it was just not around.
Also later missions ran at 29.97 so you would need even more original film.
Sorry if it seemed like I was saying it couldnt have been broadcast, what I should have said is that it couldnt have been recorded for that long and then broadcast again as if it was continuous.

That watch though.

unreal engine? why didn't they just use Moonbase Alpha?

Moonbase Alpha runs on the Unreal Engine.

you're more likely to win an argument with a wall though
As awesome as this is, it will never convince anyone. We could literally take them to the Moon, in a rocket made of super-reinforced glass so they could see around themselves at all times, and show them the landing site, and they'd start talking about how NASA had hypnotised them or some shit. They will never ever be convinced.
Well, the thing about the moon landing is, can't you point a telescope at the moon and see stuff we left behind? Retroreflectors and whatnot?
So even if the moon landing was faked, it's definitely possible to get stuff to the moon, and if you can get inanimate objects to the moon, is it that much of a stretch to accept the possibility of sending people?
Oh god, that dude who thinks that they wouldn't have been able to fake the proper starfield that one would see from the moon. Does he think that a hoax of that scale wouldn't employ astronomers who would have been able to fake a proper starfield?

Well IBM was involved in the holocaust.
NVidia, IBM and the american government confirmed for nazis.

These people think they were sent there afterwards, even though NASA could have easily just... waited a few years if they hadn't been able to send a man to the Moon by then.

Didn't you know? NASA is either infinitely incompetent or infinitely powerful, depending on whether it's convenient to the conspiracy theory or not.
It's a neat video but the kinds of people who think the moon landing was faked are not rational individuals who accept evidence. Most of them think the US government is some omnipotent godlike entity with technologies the common man can barely begin to understand. They'll just say NASA had invented gopros in the 1960s and that's that.
Arguing with conspiracy theorists is like playing chess with a pigeon. The pigeon will knock over the pieces, shit all over the board and then fly away thinking it won the game. Only winning move is not to play.
The moon landing was not a hoax? Next thing you tell me that steel beams can be melted by a kerosene fire, or that the earth is not flat.
Where are my witch hunts?

I've managed to make some people completely change their stance of faked moon landings with this video. I usually just say "Look I'm not going to argue moon landing with you until you watch this" and then no further explanation is necessary.
atleast the people who believe the moon landing was faked actually usually believe the moon is real and not a hologram
Once saw a guy who thought we couldn't have landed on the moon because he thought the moon was a neutron star.
This tech demo is actually really fucking beautiful. Every time you stop it looks like a photograph
Once saw a guy who thought we couldn't have landed on the moon because he thought the moon was a neutron star.
How does someone who thinks the moon is a neutron star, even know that neutron stars exist?

Sometimes, otherwise smart people get arrogant and think that they know better than everyone, including rocket scientists and astronauts.
