If I saw a bird flying in a vertical position and flapping it's wings once in three seconds, I'm sure I wouldn't even think of me being watched.
Then some asshole swats it and there goes 2 million dollars.

In a production model, yes. Prototype is probably more valuable though.
The sound it makes doesn't sound like a hummingbird though... sounds like a fucking spy drone, which is what it is.

The once in 3 seconds thing is a trick of the camera rate and the wing flaps being the same speed.
