Can't wait to see that when I get back from Uni. Though I doubt it'll be as cool as seeing the USS George HW Bush dock in Portsmouth.
its fucking massive damn
Are you referring to the Thames floodgates or the boat?
Woah, badass [t]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/c6/Fleet_5_nations.jpg[/t] HMS Ocean sailing in a 5-nation fleet (it's the smaller ship between the two black carriers) [t]http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2011/06/05/article-1394429-0C673EA400000578-618_472x306.jpg[/t] Also launched attack helicopters into Libya during the civil war
Aw it's so small and adorable. :3 [sp]Just kiding, I actually think our carriers are just way to fucking huge[/sp]
It's not meant to be a full aircraft carrier. I just holds some helicopters and launches smaller boats from inside its hull.

What does HMS stand for? Her Majesty's Ship or something?
What does HMS stand for? Her Majesty's Ship or something?
Yeah
Wow... for a ship that size, it's the equivalent of threading a needle through a haystack.
I feel bad, so i'm going to correct you, It's dime a dozen
Joke Your head
Oh my God, this thread made me laugh so hard. Milk, milk everywhere.
That wasn't very close at all. Cargo and tanker ships come much closer to the sides of canal locks because they're designed to pretty much exactly fit them in order to maximize capacity. And that happens on a daily basis. That battleship in an above post illustrates this very well.
Apparently it's open to the public this Monday bank holiday. Last time they did that over 22,000 people turned up in the first hour. That and they have to ferry them to the ship via boat.
I feel bad, so i'm going to correct you, It's dime a dozen
you know what they say man, it's a doggy dog world.
This isn't even a carrier, but the new carriers are going to be significantly larger than this
Actually it is a carrier, an amphibious assault carrier to be specific.
you know what they say man, it's a doggy dog world.
Wow, someone who understands life; philosophers like you are a blessings in the skies.
Actually it is a carrier, an amphibious assault carrier to be specific.
When I say carrier I mean this
