From about 22 feet in the air, she clung to the bridge, waiting to be rescued, as onlookers called 911. Once the fire department did arrive, it used a 24-foot ladder to bring her down to the cheering crowd. The woman had reportedly just finished a walk against breast cancer when she crossed the bridge, which began going up with her on it. The bridge is not for pedestrians and has a No Trespassing sign in front of it.
http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/trending-now/woman-in-florida-gets-stuck-on-opening-drawbridge-180816252.html?vp=1 Hang on!!
How do you miss a no trespassing sign...
she was so busy trespassing that she didn't notice it
How do you miss a no trespassing sign...
Some people read "No Trespassing" as "Please Trespass!". She just happened to pick the wrong location to do so.
How do you miss a no trespassing sign...
This is what I see whenever I see a no trespassing sign:
How do you miss a no trespassing sign...
Some people think "No Trespassing" means "Don't get Caught" rather than the possibility that the place might be dangerous.
Now I bet she's going to pay for the 911 Operation
Some people think "No Trespassing" means "Don't get Caught" rather than the possibility that the place might be dangerous.
This is why dangerous areas should be marked with signs that warn how dangerous an area is, not just a warning that its private and you should stay out.
she was so busy trespassing that she didn't notice it
Trespassing is a full time job.
How do you miss a no trespassing sign...
The news around where I live is saying she's legally blind - http://abclocal.go.com/wls/story?section=news/bizarre&id=9286540
Guys these are the people that live within 20 minutes of me. Please help me. Someone send me money so I can move out of this hellhole. This isn't even a rare occurrence, i don't know why it's on the news.

i love how if you look at the picture of her, she's only like 10 feet off the bridge, i mean couldn't they have put up a net or something instead of having to get a ladder.... i guess that is the safest thing though since the drop from the bridge was even further
how often do people get stuck on this drawbridge
That exact one I don't know but I know people have gotten stuck on them before. If my foot wasn't broken I could literally drive over there in 20 minutes and wait for it to inevitably happen again.

Bill her for the rescue and call it the "Stupid bitch fee".
I hope the "No trespassing" signs say: "ATTENTION Pedestrian access to this bridge is prohibited. Please get bent before the bridge does."
How the hell do you accidentally get stuck on a drawbridge? I mean, wouldn't you notice after a few seconds.... Oh I don't know, the WHOLE GODDAMN BRIDGE moving? (Also, if she was blind, how did she not notice that the ground below her was suddenly tilting?)

You'll probably enjoy New Orleans, since Florida is SUCH a hellhole, Louisiana will please you for it's paradise!
