Fallout 4 Base showcase kind of videos (Need some feedback)
14 replies, posted
So I've had these kinds of videos planned since release of Fallout. I came around to make the first episode today
I'm going to be honest, I am a bit nervous. Not sure how it will turn out
And I've posted here before, you guys have actually given me proper feedback.
So please, give me some feedback on it. Honest ones!
Thanks!

I enjoyed it, it gave me inspiration to start working more on my own base in game.
As for criticism, the first thing I can think of is just your voice volume, it seems a little quieter than the music but other than that I really enjoyed it.
Subscribed.
I think it's kind of redundant to build things that no settler or even your follower can navigate.
Not sure how functional the settlements in that video are when it comes down to that, but it should be a factor to consider. (Not necessarily feedback, just in general)

Thank you for the feedback! Well as it was my first episode there was a lot of experimentation.

Hm... Well, that would be easy if I did get the savefiles. But I've gotten pics or videos, which makes it harder to see considering they mostly show me what they want to be seen. But if it looks cool then it's fine by me!
I could probably look more at it if I get savefiles in the future

It's probably just me. But I like 'em settlements working "as intended."
Now, there's still lot of possibility for ambitious/impressive settlements that settlers/followers can navigate.
you can make some crazy settlements and still have ai navigate them effectively
I can see this being pretty popular series.
As Lollipoopdeck said, speaking volume is too quiet compared to music.
Are any of these made with mods? I just ran out of space on The Castle myself today and yet the one shown here seems to have a gargantuan amount of stuff in it compared to my relatively humble version.

Yeah, but he does have a point. Some people might want to know if it works properly
So it's just something to keep in mind

Two of them are with mods, actually. There should be an "infinite settlement size" on Fallout 4 nexus. It uses cheat engine

Thanks! I'll have to fix the volume! That's kind of the only complaint people have. I'm glad it's that, and nothing more though
Very well done! My only criticism has already been said, which is the volume.
Keep up the good work friend :)

Thanks! And yeah... I'll have to fix that
That was really good, only criticism i have is you start talking as soon as the video starts, a pause would be nice.

In my game settlers arent able to navigate even pretty simple stuff, they walk into the preexisting structures and are completely incapable.
So, is there a trick to keeping settlements functional? If not, i doubt there will ever be everything interesting that actually works.
Cool idea.
As others have said, your voice is a bit of a mumble. Turn the volume up (and the music down maybe?) and speak up!
I don't know if it's possible but it'd be best if you could explore these areas yourself. Can you do this if people provide their save files? Then you can disable collision and the HUD and give us better views of what you're describing.

Well, not everyone sending in bases have it on PC though. The first guy was on Xbox. I will try to ask for saves later on. Thanks for the feedback though!
