They must be changing the ending to help open up the game to its sequel. Or a cross over to Half Life even.

The other one kind of just faded out, leaving us to only speculate what happened to Chell, where this one is a little more decisive.

But yes it's more likely if not obvious that it's to help lead to Portal 2. I just can't wait to find out how Portal and Half Life play out together, if at all.

i doubt the characters will collide or anything, just the fact that aperture science has wacky portal tech
