I've been putting this off for a while because I thought it would be a right bitch. But it turned out to be a lot easier than I thought. The hardest part was getting the old door out because the whole side wall of my house was moving when I was grappling with the door frame.
Anyway.. before and after:

I changed the way it opened too. It opens out now. The old way the previous tennants had it, you had to lose the door to be able to get in the fridge. I think this way was better.
One mistake I made was underestimating how much the expanding packing foam would expand. It was everywhere.
Even though it only looks out into the passage/utility room I'm probably going to get some window film on it like the front of my house.. from here: http://www.brume.co.uk/

That looks really nice :)
A lot of times they have the doors open inward so it is easier to keep someone out if they try to force your door open. You can push against a door a lot harder than you can pull.
I like the idea of using a film. That window is so huge!
Would you get just white, or a color?

It would be more productive to have it open outwards.
If someone tries to force the door open, it is harder for them to kick it in.
Also if you're fighting with someone who's trying to get in, you're either both pulling or both pushing so it makes no difference in that situation.
Garry: I really like the design of your kitchen, although I think you may find that those spot lights don't last very long.
The spotlights are energy saving, the box reckons under average use they'll last 10+ years.
I'm probably just going to have plain white film, don't fancy the colour so much. Looks like a church window.
I noticed that I fucked up with the door a tiny bit. The light switch is the wrong side when you go outside now, so I've got to put a new one in :x
Are they LEDs?
those units are nice, what are they and how much?
They were here when I moved in, they're all ikea
don't buy a new one
just press Q
walls look rough to late now with fittings n all but you should skim them

It's a radio...
We don't have that brand/style here in the USA.
Not all radios look the same.
