Queensrÿche (pronounced /ˈkwiːnzraɪk/) is an amazing Heavy Metal/Prog Metal band. Ranging from the not so metal album Tribe, to the grunge album Hear In The Now Frontier, to the very famous Operation:Mindcrime.
And because I'm lazy, I'm just gonna copy pasta the discography.
Queensrÿche (1983)
The Warning (1984)
Rage for Order (1986)
Operation: Mindcrime (1988)
Empire (1990)
Promised Land (1994)
Hear in the Now Frontier (1997)
Q2K (1999)
Tribe (2003)
Operation: Mindcrime II (2006)
Take Cover (2007)
American Soldier (Unreleased)
Also, just a note, Geoff Tate says that they plan to make a movie based on Operation:Mindcrime I & II.
Speaking of Geoff Tate, onto the band members, and former members.
Geoff Tate
The singer for Queensrÿche. He is awesome. That is all.

Drummer. Awesome. No Picture.
Micheal Wilton

Former Members Oops.
People who were apparently too cool to stay in this awesome band.
Chris DeGarmo
Former Guitarist of Queensrÿche. Has actually worked twice with the band after leaving.
Kelly Gray
Only did one album. He worked on Q2K.
Mike Stone
Worked on Tribe as the Guitarist right after DeGarmo left.

You are also on my friends list on Steam :v:
Operation: Mindcrime was awesome, among my top favorite albums. Never did care much for their other stuff, though. Empire was alright.
Only album I like is Empire, really.
I know their tour guitarist Parker Lundgren. His family are friends with my family.

You're too cool for school though. Speaking of which, I must go now to start my Sophmore year. :c00l:
Operation Mindcrime is awesome.
I like Queenryche's stuff up until DeGarmo left. After that it all went to hell, pretty much.
Got to see them live twice a few years back, they played some of their modern songs. Then they took a small break and came back and played the whole operation mindcrime album. AND I got to see it twice, it kicked ass because they had actors to act out the scenes. One of which I beleive was Geoff's wife, at the second concert after the all the songs Geoff jumped off the stage and signed some autographs. I got an autograph and a handshake, one of the best concerts I went to... TWICE!
Saw them in concert and they kicked ass. Don Dokken opened for them! haha. THey are in my top favourite bands.
I remember hearing one of their songs on an internet radio thing and I thought that the singer sounded like Bruce Dickinson.

You are lucky :( I really want to see them in concert for their American Soldier album which looks to be amazing. It is a first-person narrative album about a soldier in WWII.
This band is, bar-none, my favorite 80's metal band.
Queensryche is what got me into metal.
I saw 'em at Prog Nation a few weeks ago. Pretty cool jams, I guess.
Either the singer is too old, or one of the guitarists looks way too young to be with them.
My uncle personally knows some of the current and past members of the band. He even hung out with them and babysat their kids!
PS: Queensrÿche is awesome. That is all.
Operation Mindcrime is a rock opera masterpiece. Empire's pretty good too.
Operation Mindcrime is amazing. Has anyone listened to Operation Mindcrime II, and if you have, is it any good?

Sorry if it seems like I am bumping my own thread, I was just looking through my thread posts, saw this, and decided to respond to an old question.
Anyway, it is good, not as good as the original though.
Operation: Mindcrime is a great album. Unfortunately, it's the only album I have by them.
Sorry, you need to Log In to post a reply to this thread.
