Nine Years of Serious Fun - ShackTac 2014 In Review

Now, I know not everyone here likes ShackTac but they do put out some nice content on Youtube.
Their yearly highlight video is pretty damn good in its own right if you're not up to date and just want the best snippets.
Let's keep the saltiness down to minimum levels this time around if you applied and never made it into ShackTac, m'kay? Nobody likes to hear you whine about it.

Is this ARMA? Looks fun as fuck.

Shown in the video is a mix of Arma 2 & Arma 3.
Dsylexi & Beaglerush make Arma look fantastic and then there's stuff like this that just tie the game together:

This was the first Shacktac video I watched and still one of my all time favourite videos on the internet.

There was also a Vietnam event they did once where I think beagle was leading like 3 squads in the pitch black dark and accidentally led them all off a very steep mountain, killing like a squad and a half.
why do they prefer arma 2 over arma 3?
why do they prefer arma 2 over arma 3?
Probably the mods that there are already for arma 2.
why do they prefer arma 2 over arma 3?
Arma 3 runs like absolute dogshit with AI
Bohemia can't optimize their games.
TVT's are in A3 and COOP's in A2
Also Shacktac prefers contemporary units and scenarios and ArmA3's setting is garbage so everything has to be modded back in and the ArmA3 modding community is only now starting to release decent content.
This is probably the best shacktac video

Holy shit, wasn't it the mission where every other insurgent had an RPG?

Man this takes me back. When I first discovered CHKilroy and Beagle they were uploading their best videos (at least in my opinion)
Is Beagle still with ShackTac?

What the fuck happen to CHKilroy anyhow? I haven't seen him in any of ShackTac's videos for nearly a year. He posts weird stuff on twitter and his blog all the time.

Apparently so.
CHKilroy got killed by wasps, resurrected, and then went on a tour across America. (This is all true)
I love these year in review videos the ShackTac guys all do. It's like an ArmA cumshot compilation.
I've applied to Shacktac for the next join cycle in jan next year. Upon looking at it again it's only slightly cringworthy, so I think I have some sort of chance. Fingers crossed
I enjoyed this one.

ShackTac are entertaining to watch, but based on their videos, I'm glad I play in a more organised group. It looks like it'd be very easy to get lost in the blob of bodies they throw at the enemy. It does make for some ludicrous situations in their videos, though, always a good laugh to watch the drama unfold.

Thought a couple of time about joining but it's probably not a good time in my life. Can't foresee what's going to happen in my schedule within the month, much less commit to playing every weekend.

I also applied to ShackTac but now I'm thinking that may not be a good idea. Oh well, chances are I'll get buried under like 2000 other people.

I just noticed how ridiculously fast he reloads that thing.
