it's a good song, but he's done many songs that i think are better. though it does amuse me that although the song is completely anti-america, it is often played at big public events in america.
All of Bruce's songs leave me with the same image in my head. It's dusk and there's bruce, in a muscle car, drivin' into the distance. No clue why, just does.
A little something for people, the song is about how veterans are treated badly, not about being proud hehe.
my mum used to play this song along with pretty much all of springsteens hit in the car every time we were driving long distance. My favorite song by him is born to run just because it gets such a fuckin' great crowd reaction live

also anyone else see bruce at the hard rock calling in hyde park? pure springsteen, I've met so many people who dislike him until they see him live, for a lot of people its a deal maker
