Playing BF1, a buggy beta, at max settings and like 115-150 fps is a dream
I wish i had enough money for just a 1060, a 760 is fine but its just such a first world problem.
I had a HD7950 and bought my 1080 a few months ago I can confirm this is exactly what it feels like
If only. Ordered my 1080 on 6 July and yet to hear anything from amazon (apart from an email suggesting I cancel, the cheeky cunts)
a 880 can do just as good as a 1080 except that games like battlefield 1 can only be run on medium-high settings but meh
I had a HD7950 and bought my 1080 a few months ago I can confirm this is exactly what it feels like
I had an HD6450 and just got an RX 480, https://youtu.be/O902bWU79Fc
okay i might be exaggerating but still i get 60 or so frames on battlefield 1 edit: just checked actually 115 frames on battlefield 1 oops
And here I am A 940M it runs ok i guess I'll probably feel like this when I get a RX 470 in the future :v:
I can't tell if this video is serious or not because wow he gained 20fps and it only cost him $1200
1070 here. BF1 feels slick as fuck on ultra.
I have a 1080, playing Doom at max with 144hz is an experience.
I have a 1080, playing Doom at max with 144hz is an experience.
....I have to run DOOM at 30FPS
I can't tell if this video is serious or not because wow he gained 20fps and it only cost him $1200
I mean playing shitty PC ports with an FPS cap He was hitting drops to 30fps in CoD and went to around to 60 fps in BF1 with max settings which is pretty good.
My 680 still runs most new-ish games at >60, maybe I'll get a new card when I'll have trouble playing Minesweeper on my Windows 17 in 2022. [sp]The BF1 beta and the new CoD games kill me bad, though. :([/sp]
I'm so jealous right now. I'm in desperate need of an upgrade, I can just about achieve 25fps on lowish setting for Tomb Raider. Nothing new has a chance past 15fps. I'm such a caveman it's embarrassing!
I honestly don't see much of a difference with anything higher than 60.
Wow, and I thought I was picky.
I can't believe I still get around 60 FPS on high settings in the newest games with my old GTX660. Fucking voodoo magic I tell you, it's not even overclocked.

760 user, this also describes the experience of going from a 450 to that card. Though my 760 is still now rather crap, Doom tanks to 20FPS in big areas and Rise Of The Tomb Raider was not unknown to crash to single digits. 1070 should hopefully give a big boost.

Use the Reshade AA instead and the difference becomes trivial. Same goes for a lot of other effects.
I wish i could afford any PC upgrades. 5 year old i5 is keeping up but having a mishmash of old and new is... intresting. At least i got a R9 280 for a good price last year.
I remember when I went from a HD5750, playing at 1280x1024 to a GTX 970 and 1080p. It was.. amazing. although the hd5750 was a champ at that resolution.
a 880 can do just as good as a 1080 except that games like battlefield 1 can only be run on medium-high settings but meh
The 1080 is about 3.5 times stronger than the 880 according to the passmark GPU benchmark.
I can't tell if this video is serious or not because wow he gained 20fps and it only cost him $1200
this is the reason why I'm staying on my 760 for the moment if newest games are such laggy performance hogs what's the point of buying the best gpu there is
My 680 4gb gets me 55-70 fps on BF1, but on low settings with some turned up to medium or high. Guess it's time to upgrade...
The 1080 is about 3.5 times stronger than the 880 according to the passmark GPU benchmark.
And 2.4 times stronger according to 3dmark firestrike
