I don't know if this is supposed to be sarcastic or not, but I REALLY hope it is. You showed DSP fucking up in a game with funny music in the background to somehow represent that it's worse than another game in which you showed normal gameplay. I mean I don't even give a damn about either of these games and even I can see clear as day how absolutely disingenuous that is. I could show you DSP completely fucking up at a half-life, that doesn't make it a bad game.
Comparing a game that is mainly about multiplayer to a game that is more about singleplayer is pretty much dumb. Why not just wait till new Quake comes in and then do that (If that video was made by you).
The unreal tournament part lasts way too long. It should have been like 15 seconds and then the cut to the DOOM part, with that maybe being shortened a bit too with less cutaways to that other scene. otherwise, I think the core concept is solid. Although DOOM never really had any multiplayer to compare to, and I don't really agree with the subject matter anyway.
The music and use of DSP really make it. When you can't formulate a good argument, just uses memes. [sp]If that fails, say you were posting it ironically and that it's just a prank.[/sp]
i like the music in the first but i did quite enjoy the doom's mp and care more about it's sp anyway
I don't know how serious this is but reminds me of classic old 'runescape vs world of warcraft' videos.

You can make any game look like shit if you use DSP Gaming footage. It doesn't prove anything, you're just making yourself look like a giant tool.
I really don't think comparing UT4 to Doom 4 is fair in the slightest. Doom imo has never really been about the multiplayer, as far as I know everyone remembers the singleplayer aspect, running around shooting demons and shit like that. UT is a game that doesn't have a traditional singleplayer like Doom does. Singleplayer or multiplayer, in UT its always been just the arena shooter thing. Theres never been a true singleplayer to work on on the side, its just one main mode of gameplay being refined constantly. In Doom the multiplayer has always just sorta been there, and was never the focus.
Not disagreeing with you about the unfairness of the video but the original Unreal is 99% identical to UT gameplay and arsenal wise, and it's considered by many to be one of the best singleplayer shooters of its time.
What's funny is this video makes me realize how similar the movement speed actually is in both games, although doom doesn't have walldodging to speed it up.
I just hope this video isn't pushing people away from potentially playing UT. Its a dumb comparison but the new UT is definitely worth playing, despite it's somewhat slow development speed. On the video itself: Very poor comparison, Comparing two completely different games never really gives you a solid argument.

This would be really valid if the game in development was called Quake (2016) or Quake IV Arena. But.. it's Doom. It may have set the foundation for deathmatch, but it kinda wasn't the best at it. Go find some actual, pure Doom pro deathmatches from awhile ago. It's not pretty.
Shots of you shooting people holding w isn't a good showcase of Unreal haha, at least get some clips from the Unreal Frag Center. You probably wouldn't have had to overlay meme music onto a DSP video to show the differences then. The video was a good idea in theory though, if it was more lighthearted and less elitist it could've been pretty funny.
that ut4 gameplay was really bad at demonstrating speed, the player there isnt really any good at moving around the map efficiently. or aiming or playing in general really. Not much better than dsp.
