I'm just wondering this. Why do you think people don't want to learn? It seem, and this is especially true of the internet, that when discussing something, one can throw all the hard evidence and logic at a topic, yet people will just flatly ignore.
Why is this way?
And it's not just on the internet. It seems to be everywhere. Richard Dawkins even alludes to it in his book "Greatest Show on Earth." He talks about an interview he did with a creationist who flatly refused to go to a museum and look at fossils.
Why do people close their minds when confronted by an opinion or point of view different than theirs? Are people so easily brainwashed? Is this just an American thing, or is it like this in other countries?
Discuss.
Because it's boring
Someone told me once but I wasn't listening.
Welcome to earth, where ignorance flows through the brains of many, and mostly everyone is an asshole.
