Both officers were rushed to Woodhull Hospital. Their conditions were not immediately clear. “One is not doing so great,” another police source said. “He was hit in the head.”
I really hope people do not just start killing cops because of everything that is happening, its only gonna cause relations between the police and civilians to worsen.
The shooter is lowest piece of scum.
If this sort of shit is going to happen to officers sitting in their patrol vehicle, it almost of justifies their spending on those armoured vehicles.

Just saying.
The shooter's last instagram post [t]https://fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xpa1/v/t1.0-9/10881715_618835341554615_3113244679284695671_n.jpg?oh=6ed577f3825b5e2fdbfb51a7e09dde0e&oe=553911CB&__gda__=1429689459_12d32f7e46fac9a5b8ee8307d5dc43f2[/t] Shooter has been shot and killed and the two officers have since died.
This shootings are like a chain of reactions that will never stop. Thats quite sad :(
If this sort of shit is going to happen to officers sitting in their patrol vehicle, it almost of justifies their spending on those armoured vehicles.
I'm not sure if they spend anything at all. They're army surplus vehicles - vehicles that would otherwise sit in a warehouse for a few decades then be decommissioned. They have to be produced at a steady rate so that, in the event of a full-scale war with the USA, the associated factories will assuredly have the required production capability.

I wonder if Twitter or Instagram have automated bots which flag text like this. Would be a pretty major tool to catch stuff before it happens. Like #ShootThePolice, maybe have something flag it and send it to someone to read.

This definitely didn't help the situation. Genius move.
this isn't vengeance, this is blind violence
Two wrongs don't make a right. The number one thing people need to remember when they are frustrated is to not stoop to someone else's low level.
Two wrongs don't make a right. The number one thing people need to remember when they are frustrated is to not stoop to someone else's low level.
There wasn't even a wrong in the first place. A known criminal was selling cigarettes, they tried to arrest him, he didn't comply, they subdued him and he ended up dying in the struggle. This guy went out with the purpose of killing some police officers.
I hope the shooter lived long enough to regret his decision as he bled out on the floor of a dirty NY subway. The officers likely had family, nobody deserves to have family killed, especially with the holidays right at our doorstep.

Tomorrow: Vengeance for two NYPD cops? Four New York gangbangers shot.
Feeling for those officers. They joined the force to do good and this is what they were rewarded with. Here's to hoping this scum shooter rots in hell.

What a terrible violent criminal! He deserved to die - good job, coppers!

None of the officers involved had the intent of killing him, they were trying to subdue him (albeit in a bad manner) and it led to a series of unfortunate events.. Mistakes were made by the officers involved and I'm sure his death is weighing heavily on their lives.

Unfortunately he was unhealthy and because of the physical strain he died.
This discussion is not about Eric Garner it's about some lunatic asshole running around with a gun shooting at cops.
Absolutely horrible, no question.
There wasn't even a wrong in the first place.
We killin' them for freedom cause they tortured us for boredom And even if some good ones die, fuck it, the Lord'll sort 'em
Sure, there was no intent to kill, but they continually choked a nonviolent person after he had stated several times that he couldn't breathe. An accident would be a gun misfiring and hitting him in the foot, or the cop slipping and crushing his larynx, but neither of those happened. They choked him to death - the cop's hands didn't accidentally slip over his throat.

In the heat of the moment with him resisting, I doubt they were paying attention to his pleas for them to stop - that's exactly what anybody resisting arrest would want them to do. Anyways, as BANNED USER said, this isn't a discussion about Eric Garner. That is a whole different discussion - this thread is about the death of the officers and I think we owe them the respect that they deserve.
Get over this cop killer and stop, thanks.
This thread is about two cops who got murdered for no reason other than being cops, not Garner.
Get over this cop killer and stop, thanks.
You and .Isak. can debate this shit in a different thread.
