Each year, Sony has managed to wow fans with huge surprises and breathtaking trailers, all packed into a couple of hours. This year, Sony will be doing something different, due to the huge number of games that are sure to be covered, and a major focus on the NGP, their E3 event will last a record breaking five hours. First up is the conference, and then there’ll be a special event afterwards. Starting at 5PM (PST) on June 6th, the show will continue all the way until 10PM. We’ll be there live at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena, covering the entire conference (we’ll be sure to drink a lot of coffee) as well as the “special event” that will kick off immediately after the show. For our thoughts on what will be in the show, be sure to check out our in-depth E3 predictions.
1 hours of new games 4 hours about how 1337 the new sony psn security is
Too bad whatever they have to say will be overshadowed by the media when the personal information of everyone who attended is leaked an hour after the conference starts.
jesus christ
Somehow, somebody will find a way to fuck with this event.
gabe comes up on stage "We would like to show you the trailer to a game we all have been waiting for" *3 Shows up* *crowd goes wild* *the word Portal appears* "Portal 3, Coming out Spring 2012, Now we would like to show you a 30 minute gameplay trailer tha-" *the crowd boos, rushes the stage tearing gabe newell limb from limb*

Left4Dead - Tokyo Drift fall 2011
It's obviously the PS4 reveal
does the intermission have a screening of [del]Avatar[/del]Titanic?
I hope this is like their 2006 E3 event. What with, RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDGE RAAAAACER, and real Japanese history and all of that mumbo jumbo. Ahh, such a fun year for E3.

Valve has never made a 3rd sequel to ANY game
Valve has never made a 3rd sequel to ANY game
We've noticed after four years of waiting for one. The most we'll see from Valve is "Hey, look its DOTA. Also, here's a rather small and uninteresting campaign for Left 4 Dead 2. And here's some extra shit for your Portal 2 pleasure. We'll try to have Meet the Medic done by Christmas." and maybe "Ohh, and we've cancelled the Half-Life series. Didn't feel like it was worth continuing." [editline]24th May 2011[/editline] Valve has kinda lost their shit the past couple of years.

There is soo much expectations behind Half Life 3, it would be a bitch to get it right and quite frankly, I have the feeling that if it missed even one single detail that is "important" then it would bombed like Portal 2 was. There is a reason why they don't get past 2 because when ever 2 comes out as of late, they get slammed for it.
Well, it's most likely coming when the Replay contest is over, as we've seen a picture from it at the end of "Meet the Director"
That honestly means nothing. Valve is notorious for showing screenshots and teasers for various projects, only for them to all but disappear, then resurface again an inordinate amount of time later, still unfinished. [editline]24th May 2011[/editline]
Or they've moved on. There is a reason why they don't get past 2 because when ever 2 comes out as of late, they get slammed for it.
That would be like taking a series like Harry Potter and after the fifth book just going. "Ehh, fuck it." and not finish the series. Which is what Valve is doing so far. They've not said anything about the series other than "We're not talking about it at this time." Then they made the statement that they were done with the "episodic" model that they did for all of exactly two installments and basically confirming that there will not be an Episode 3. And given how the events of Episode 3 would have to be structured and take place, they would not work out for a full scale sequel. I mean, it could almost be packed as DLC for Episode 2, which is not something Valve would do nor is Episode 2 set up to handle. Unfortunately, all signs indicate that the Half-Life series is dead. What we'll probably get is sometime later this year or early next year, we'll see an official announcement stating that the series is over, and that the story will be wrapped up in a comic that they'll publish the next month. A month and a half later, we'll get a twenty to thirty page comic roughly covering the events that would have taken place during Episode 3. And probably a few years after that, we'll hear of Gabe retiring and Valve being bought by EA or Bethesda.
Poor Sony. They will never recover from what happened.
I hope it's 5 hours of apologizing.
