I'm have a party/small get together kind of thing at my house tonight because the parents are out of town. A lot of the people coming smoke a lot and I have a question about neighbors being able to smell it.
I have a patio where they would be smoking, with a ceiling fan on, and it's a pretty good size. This patio goes into a screened in pool area which is also a pretty good size. Then there is the actual backyard which most of the space is taken up by the pool. I have neighbors on both sides but one of them are out of town for awhile. The other would probably be asleep by this time tonight but I'm still a little worried. Paranoid, I know, but I want to take all precautions available. We won't be that loud. Basically you go outside if you want to smoke but it's not the main party area. For some reason I can't shake the feeling that my neighbor would be able to smell it. They are really good family friends so if they did they would most likely rat on me.
Sorry if this is a ridiculous question but I figured you guys might be able to help a little.
Thanks!
They will likely smell it if they too are outside. If it's late at night and they are asleep and you aren't too loud I don't think it will be an issue.
Yea, just tell anyone who wants to smoke, that if they go outside to do so, they have to be extra quiet, but really pound it in their heads, not in an asshole kind of way, but I know from experience if you're told not to do something only once, and then go get high, you have a very high chance of forgetting, especially if it's something that doesn't really bother you, I mean it's not their house... Good luck, hope your party's a success!
Thanks guys! and yeah my concern is her going outside, but then again she's elderly so I doubt she'll go into her backyard in between 9-however late it goes
