DO you guys even use slang? I do a lot because I write raps and I like to open up my vocabulary with it. There are words going through our ears and you might have no idea what they mean, Especially people who aren't very "street" or the older crowd (vnl) If you guys DO use slang I'd love to hear it, it's usually regional so I know a lot of LA terms (and who doesnt know New York slang? c'mon son). Some terms you might of heard and what they mean Ratchet: Slutty, trashy, ignorant etc etc ( The even newer word is Thot, find it being overused by a black friend near you.) Thirsty: basically it means desperate, begging for attention, stalking. You can't even ask someone for a number these days without being called thirsty though. Curve: To shoot someone down, deny someone, specifically if trying to get some action with a girl and she all like no... thats getting curved. Mickey: Weird, out of the ordinary, possible threat. Example, "I let Hank borrow my jacket like a week ago, then I saw him on the bus and he started acting all Mickey as if i'm gonna forget." Johnnies: Police Jakes: Police Boof: Low grade marijuana, hard to get high off of. Chipped: Murdered Buster: You guys know this from GTA:SA it means coward, someone not willing to fight, easily intimidated I know he pronounced it as busta in the game but in LA accents most people pronounce it as buster (not bust-err but buh-sterr Deck: Skateboard Jam: to leave, to go somewhere else smoked out: someone lets you partake in their drugs for free Rollin: To be high off ecstasy or MDMA, A huge african american crip gang based in LA but all over the city and the country (Los Angeles has the rollin 30's-100's, Long beach has the Rollin 20's which is the home turf of Snoop Dogg and others) Ditty Bop: A very proud style of walking, non believers might call this the "Swagfag walk" About that life: I don't use this term but for an example "You don't wanna fight me dude, I'll make you life a living hell, I know where you live, You aint about that life!" can't believe I just explained that Bop: A girl that sucks a lot of dick Slang: Selling things, usually drugs, not related to a tax paying job A gun can be a: Burner, Heater, Toaster, gat, strap, toolie, chopper, pipe, stick, blaster, thang Small Butt: No dumpy, noassital syndrome I want to hear some good slang especially from overseas More to come I'm headed outside to smoke a Bone
I have no idea what's going on here but I'm a ratchet mothafuckin' johnies.
I use quite a bit of slang but now that I'm being asked to list some off I can't think of any
I like the word "Dosh" (means cash), commonly used in the game Killing Floor. Actually most UK slangs sound great to me.
lol gg wtf rofl lmao lolggwtfroflmao that means cops
Mostly English stuff I suppose I probably say peng too often. Call mates bruv. Where I'm from swag means something is shit.
sacks = marijuana I heard a rap song saying "I take sacks to the face whenever I can" That's just begging to be taken the wrong way. I use alot of slang over steam and while talking to close friends, with acquaintances and people of authority I don't.
Being Scottish, I only communicate in slang.
-snip-
Piff/Peng = Attractive Everyone has started calling people sideman's here aswell which basically means they're followers and can't fight for themselves.
More people have been calling weed piff recently, know that's been around for a long time. Peng is the same, meant fit gyally but then meant good weed.
Peng is such a stupid piece of slang. I do use words such as lass and broad though, do they count as slang? Not sure if aye counts either, I only use that in typing. If I use it in real life I sound like a right bell end.
Curve in the OP is the same as swerve where I'm from
I really only use quid instead of pounds.
For some reason, people keep on using Jamaican/Caribbean slang where I live, despite none of them actually having Jamaican roots.
British slang 101: loo ---> toilet fag ---> cigarette skint ---> broke (as in without money) fuck all ---> nothing slag ---> slut the dog's bollocks ---> anything good johnnys ---> condoms gash ---> vagina (or simply women, if you're a huge misogynist) donkey's years ---> a long time shag ---> to have sex

"the" - "fuck off and die you little shit slinging bastard"

It will never be heard the same again.
I could have sworn that buster meant something else entirely. But that's because I'm a big fan of Fast and the Furious.
I say "hella" a hell of a lot
Huh, and I thought a buster meant a police officer, because, you know, they bust people.
