Jaguar unveiled the 2016 XF sitting on two cables over the Thames.
The car was driven by veteran stuntman Jim Dowdall who has worked in over 180 movies including the Bond series, Indiana Jones and Saving Private Ryan.
This is no dangerous stunt if car is simply going on cables like treadmill with all those supporting hooks feeding them right under wheels, also counterweight directly under. Even if he suddely flipped the fuck out and turn wheels 90 degrees car would not leave a track.
Tightrope walking on legs is still OP.
I'd be impressed if it was normal tires on these wires, but what's shown in the video is akin to train wheels on a train track. They have no threat of slipping off.
That is not impressive at all, considering they made it almost impossible to fall off. The driver just has to press the fucking gas peddle.
I'd be slightly impressed if he did it at 200 mph and jumped through a flaming hoop at the end.
DUDE THATS AMAZING LOOK AT THAT CAR GO!!!
That was incredibly silly. I question who thought this would be impressive or entertaining enough to be a marketing scheme
Introducing the revolutionary new highway: Two ropes.
that plus its over water so even if it fell he could get out

it's like, fuck yeah i wanna see a car drive over some ropes, then you feel disappointed because it's essentially just a monorail
boss had a midlife crisis.
B-But they broke a world record.

if one cable snapped but not the other he could hit his noggin pretty hard
They made it as underwhelming as imaginable.

I am pretty sure the car's engine isn't even running, they are dragging it by the tow rope on the front.
