• Thinking about doing a Foreign Exchange program in Europe

So I'm thinking about going somewhere in Europe (I live in the US), possibly the UK, for a few months to a year when I'm a junior or senior. I was wondering if anyone here had done one of these programs and had any knowledge to share.
I was going to go to do the same. Unfortunately I was told that by transferring I would lose my credits meaning I would have to come back a year after in order to finish high school. Along with this, depending on where you go the prices vary. I wasn't able to afford it but if you live in a city you may have programs that support you.
goto a poor place where your money goes a long way. the pros! good pussy good food good stuff THE CONS! none
My friends did a similar thing (I live in the UK) and some americans came here for one semester. They said it was a very good experience overall and it counted towards their degree, but it varies on the university, make sure you look up all the details involved before you commit to anything.
Personally I wouldn't go for the UK, for several reasons. One, things are going to be as expensive, if not more so, than home. Second, you're not gonna experience a new language in the same way as if you visited, say, Spain. Education and health care is pretty much equal all over Europe with a few exceptions, namely eastern Europe/Russia/Greece (for the moment). Take a long, long time and weigh the pros and cons of each country. here. Personally I would vouch for Sweden as I live here but unfortunately, due to recent changes in our educational system, foreigners (non-EU) need to pay large fees to study here. But any Scandinavian country is nice, really.
Go to Norway!
Go to Norway so that you may visit Asgaard.
These programs are incredibly expensive ( few thousand dollars ). I was going to do one but couldn't afford it, unfortunately. I really want to visit Germany again.
I would think that study abroad through your nearest university would be better. It says you live in CA so you have a lot to choose from.
Yes, let's go to a country with no working education system or jobs at all! Wow, little access to food and health care! Surely that's a great idea!
so if he goes to iceland its a bad thing? more money will grant you a better experience...i would know because i travel alot

If you're going to Europe, go to the real Europe, in other words, continental Europe. Going to the UK would just be a slight change in accent and culture. Go to France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Poland, the Balkans Scandinavia or the numerous other places in Europe. Europe offers so much if you're willing to just let go and enjoy.
