Hey Facepunch, there was no existing thread for Ben Folds so I figured I'd make one.
General Info:
Ben Folds is a singer, song writer and musician who originally started his band Ben Folds Five along with Robert Sledge and Darren Jessee and now performs as a solo artist, occasionally collaborating with other artists. His music is generally rock/alternative but can vary from song to song. They usually rely heavily on piano, bass, and drums, and run from slow, calm piano songs, to fast, kick-ass rock.

Ben Folds Five:

The self-titled debut album of Ben Folds Five. Despite the name, the Five actually had only three members, with the other two being studio producers. Here is a song from the album, and one of my favorites:

Whatever and Ever Amen:

The second album released by the Five was recoded entirely in a house Folds rented in a basement. It has a few of their top songs, including "Brick" and "Battle of Who Could Care Less":

The Unauthorized Biography of Reinhold Messner:

The third album released by the Five was named after a name Darren Jessee used on a fake ID as a teenager. They learned while making the album that Reinhold Messner was also a climber who was the first man who managed to climb Mt. Everest without bottled oxygen. Luckily he had no problem with them making the album, and actually was highly pleased with it. Here's a song from it:

This was Folds' first solo album, and was the reason for his first solo tour. It's one of his most popular albums and has a lot of awesome songs, such as the titular "Rockin the Suburbs" and another favorite, "Zak and Sara":

This is Folds' second solo album, named after Ben Goldman, one of the people he worked with. When people from Sony Records found out they were unhappy and he had to tweak the name. It has one of his more popular songs, "Landed" and another popular single, "Jesusland":

Folds' latest album, Lonely Avenue is a collaboration with English writer Nick Hornby, with Hornby writing the lyrics, often as stories, and Folds writing the music. Folds even asked youtuber Charlie McDonnel to make the music video for the song "Saskia Hamilton":
