• Right ear is blocked, need more suggestions to unblock it.

About a week ago I woke up and my right ear was blocked, simple. Nothing much more to tell about that story if I'm honest. However, I love music, I make music and I'm always listening to the audio in games more than the average person, and this is driving me insane because everything is in mono and panned to the left. Facepunch I need literally every suggestion you can think of or have done in the past to get your ears unblocked, I assume it's from a build up of wax. Thing's I've tried! Filling ear up with cold water. Filling ear up with warm water. Using a dry and wet cue tip. Using ear drops to soften the wax (been using for about 4 days, still nothing) Holding my nose, closing my mouth and breathing out. Whoever's idea is the one which unblocks my right ear and saves my sanity, I will send a personal 'thank you' PM to them and gift them Alien Swarm on Steam. :v: [sp]Yes, I know Alien Swarm is free, it was a joke, but you'll still get that heartwarming PM![/sp]
Americans call it a QTIP......... EDIT: What? Its pretty obvious what I am suggesting, go rate some other people "bad reading"
Get yourself an appointment with your GP and get your ear syrninged.
You go to the doctor, and they have this big syringe thingy, and they use water to wash your ear out.
Get yourself an appointment with your GP and get your ear syrninged.
That's what my parents are suggesting, but that's a hassle to me as I'm incredibly lazy, so basically any other ideas apart from this. This idea is a last resort.
Close your mouth, hold your nose, and try and breathe out. If you blow out both your eardrums you're blowing too hard. Although it may not be blockage. I thought my left ear was blocked and found out that I actually had a hole in my eardrums.
Put a spider in there to clear it out
Olive oil
That's what my parents are suggesting, but that's a hassle to me as I'm incredibly lazy, so basically any other ideas apart from this. This idea is a last resort.
this is likely to be a serious issue. unless you like being deaf :v:
Seriously, I've had this problem recently, and other than using some sort of hydrogen peroxide spray to dissolve the wax and hopefully get lucky, syringing may be it. If you've been sticking stuff in your ears as well, the inner canal may be swollen shut, meaning you can't hear at all, and that really doesn't help.
Get unlazy !

I'll continue to try this throught the day though.
Get a syringe and do it yourself, it's not hard. protip: put vinegar in with the water. Oh yeah q tips will make it worse.
Take a steamy shower and then use q-tips?
I've got a problem so instead of going to the doctor and getting it fixed I'm going to go at it with pliers and a paper clip because Facepunch told me it would work.
I'd rather be blind than deaf, anyway.

I guess you could try using large amounts of oil to soften the ear way, and then pouring in some water.
okay do this: hold nose holes together with your hands, then blow with your nose. you should hear a distinct 'pop' and you should be able to hear on the right ear again
I've got a problem so instead of going to the doctor and getting it fixed I'm going to go at it with pliers and a paper clip because Facepunch told me it would work.
I'm trying to save myself hassle, I'm not stupid. I'm aware of what will/wont damage my ears.
Blowtorch on ear. If this doesn't work, then you are fucked beyond repair.
Someone already sugested but really, olive oil, sounds retarded but it works.

This idea is a last resort.
It's no hassle at all; it literally takes only a few seconds for them to syringe out your ear. It'll be far cleaner than it ever has been in your life, as well.
I don't understand how anyone can go so long without cleaning their ears. gross man.
Also, do you KNOW that it's blocked with wax? If it could be anything else then go to GP. Now.
Go to the doctor. They'll fill this baby up with hot water and spray it into your ear at incredulous speeds.
My ears block up regularly (both are partially block at the moment) and really the only thing you can do is put some oil or sodium carbonate in your ears and get them syringed. Don't bother using a q-tip because it will only make the problem worse.
My mother works in a chemist, maybe I could get her to bring me home a syringe and I can do it myself? If you guys haven't figured it out by now, I fucking hate the doctors.
Try a raising or lowering your elevation. Go somewhere closer/further from sea level.
I don't understand how anyone can go so long without cleaning their ears. gross man.
I clean my ears out pretty much once ever 3-4 days due to me wearing headphones, but as I said, I just woke up and it was blocked, I'm only assuming it's wax.

That's when I began to realize they weren't there to hurt me with needles but rather stop me from getting sick and dying.
