In addition to the obvious optical heart-rate monitor you can see in the picture above, it will include a UV sensor to keep track of your sun exposure, a galvanic skin response sensor to measure stress, and built-in GPS. The 18.5-millimeter band's made of a "thermal plastic elastomer," which means it's probably nice, soft, and stretchy. It's got a fairly tiny 1.4-inch touchscreen at just 320 x 106 resolution, and is powered by two 100mAh lithium-ion batteries.
kinda like how they've stepped away from the square designs and gone for a slim rectangle design which fits well for metro
gonna guess its designed by Nokia cause that screen looks super black and I only know one manufacture who can achieve that brilliantly
Seems pretty useful, I often get lost when I'm out running.
Can I use spotify on it, ms? If so you have a sale
I like the rectangle screens best but the orientation issues always annoy me. Samsung gear fit can have the orientation changed but 3rd party apps can't rotate so you get limited support for 3rd party apapps. Hopefully they implement it better.
I always wanted a GPS device I could strap to my wrist

Your phone can already track you without you knowing. At least this is upfront about it.

I don't think he's being sarcastic dude, I think he just wants an easy to access GPS on his wrist :v:

This is a render, it definitely doesn't necessarily indicate that this will have great contrast - you can have the best blacks on any render of any phone/device. Anyway - iirc - ClearBlack is only really a technology to reduce the reflections on the screen, which means the contrast isn't really any higher when measuring in-doors (e.g., the 808 had the best sunlight legibility of any phone afaik). Nokia is using AMOLED on many of its phones now, though, and WP of course uses a lot of dark accent colours - that's probably why you think they are the only company to achieve really deep blacks.
Anyway, that looks like a decidedly Microsoft design with the two-tone plastic and whatnot.
Might get one for my mom for christmas, looks like it could be a great product.

Yeah that'd be useful as hell
