About one in four Americans suspect that President Barack Obama might be the antichrist, more than a third believe that global warming is a hoax and more than half suspect that a secretive global elite is trying to set up a New World Order, according to a poll released on Tuesday.

-----------------------------------
13% of respondents thought Obama was "the Antichrist".
13% were "not sure" .
20% of Republicans believed Obama is the Antichrist heralding the End Times.
13% of independents.
6% of Democrats..
-----------------------------------
51% of Americans thought that global warming is legit.
37% of Americans thought that global warming is a hoax.
12% aren't sure.
58% of Republicans thought that global warming is a hoax.
77% of Democrats thought that global warming is legit.
-----------------------------------
28% of people believed in a sinister global New World Order conspiracy.
25% were "not sure"
46% are correct in thinking that it's bullshit.
-----------------------------------
7% believed the moon landing was faked,
4% accepted that "shape-shifting alien reptilian people control our world by taking on human form"
14% believed in Bigfoot
11% are truthers
-----------------------------------
Now they should do the same survey, only with Mitt Romney and all the conspiracies everyone actually believed during the election (like OMG MITT ROMNEY OWNS VOTING MACHINES CONSPRICY!1)
and I happen to know one!
...
:smith:
In other news, 1 in 4 Americans believes there is such a thing as an 'anti-christ'.
and I happen to know one!

Only one? Almost everyone I know believes this :v:
Oh America.
And then 4 years pass without anything happening.
The "more than half suspect that a secretive global elite is trying to set up a New World Order" part is bullshit, 28% said they were unsure, not suspecting.
"Is Obama the anti-christ?"
"Hmmm... You know... I'm not entirely sure. Let me think about it."
My friends mom is 100% convinced after watching some youtube videos that he is, shame how gullible some people are

fair and balanced posting
People, when it comes to surveys and polls you must always remember that the answers depend on how the questions are asked. For example, "Do you want to further the rights of gays by legalizing gay marriage" and "Are you in defense of traditional marriage" may produce two very different results. The article itself said "[the survey were] phrasing the questions in eye-catching language that will have the country's educators banging their heads on their desks."
Just take it with a grain of salt.
Oh, and they also combine the "sure" and "not sure" statistics, which is bullshit.
I think stuff like this is silly
you can do this in any country and find wackos, and I don't know where the whole "one in four" thing comes from.
I may be wrong, but I don't think 13% is one in four, fairly sure it's just over 1 in 8.

I was going to say no, but after seeing this...
Wait, there's no way this can be accurate! Right?
RIGHT!?
I'm actually kinda surprised at the global warming percentages, I expected more people to believe it to be a hoax.
I thought it was pretty well established that he was....

In other news, 1 in 4 Americans are idiots and life will go on.
Reminds me of this poll

he always does that
The kids are always calling it an iPad so I'm not really sure...
asked a sample of American voters
exactly how large was this sample?
Probably 4 people they found in a public bathroom.
wonder how many said "Yes" as a joke.
4% accepted that "shape-shifting alien reptilian people control our world by taking on human form"
Where did the reptilian theory even come from that's it's so widespread? It's so dumb
Well, I can't conform that he isn't the Antichrist.
I mean, I don't know the guy...
I wish I was the anti Christ
the powers you'd get with that title would probably be pretty sweet
The president must have a hard as hell job
He shouldn't have to put up with morons who think he's the antichrist. That's just stupid.
1 in 4 is about the usual "total dumbfuck idiot" rate in the US. I can't remember the exact polls off the top of my head, but I seem to remember most polls like "% of Americans that believe in alien abduction" or "% Americans that believe Obama was born in Kenya" always seem to come out within spitting distance of 25%. And, in this one, 25% believe the NWO bullshit.
Really, when you look at the data, it's pretty safe to assume that 1/4 of this country believes some pretty fucking stupid things.

Probably just the same morons who thought Clinton was the antichrist. And his wife. And Jimmy Carter. And any other high-profile Democrat.
Always a Democrat, isn't it? I guess Republicans don't get to be antichrist.
