Jesus christ, all that shit for 1 guy.
I thought this was the raid on Osama's house until I saw a fat white guy in a bathrobe.
wow, how incredibly unnecessary
Total dickwads. I'm surprised he could get hold of the chopper footage though. I'm glad the raid was deemed illegal.
I'll be honest there were a lot of legit files that I could only get from Megaupload, there really could have been a more considerate way to do this, but this is the US government we're talking about.
minor overkill
His music is so damn cheap, really sounds like those typical german electro parodies.
Was taking the cars really necessary? What is this fast and furious where the criminal hides the secret information in a chip in the car?
Fucking idiots.
Pretty sure none of this is standard police procedure.
I wouldn't be surprised if this was the result of corruption.

Assholes think they can do anything they want.
It's as if the US government discovered a large supply of oil under his house or something.

Maybe they did.
Just a little bit over the top there.
Maybe turn it down just a notch or two next time?
Why did they take the cars?
how do the guys doing this not feel like idiots during this? it makes me think they're like kids playing with toys and acting like it's more serious than it is
Why did they take the cars?
dont you know that he could have terrorist BOMBS in those cars???????
wake up sheeple

Brainwashing, or training, whatever you want to call it.
They take themselves quite seriously.
Nice house he has at least.

Becuase they are told it is necesarry for them to go in like that. They are probably informed that he is a high risk target, even though the people at the top knows he is just a fat guy in a bathrobe.
I never knew that Megaupload made him that much money.

They looked nice. They already went to so much trouble with the entire operation, don't you think they deserved an award?
Looks like a Family Guy skit.

It is pretty damn ridiculous. That estate is one of the nicest I've seen.
He was renting the estate, if I recall correctly.
He got 6 stars just by being himself.
He lives in New Zealand, right?
As a resident of NZ, I can tell you that domestic terrorism rarely ever happens, so whenever there's even a slight threat they call in a whole bunch of guys.
The principal of my intermediate school once told me a story of how the Armed Offenders (NZ police special forces, kinda like SWAT) were called in because a kid at the school was playing around with a plastic gun around his friends, pretending it was real. According to him, that kid was nearly shot.
This is fucking overkill, couldn't they just have a standard police car and some detectives to go around the house, not call the top dogs of the police force come in with helicopters and automatic fucking rifles?
He was renting the estate, if I recall correctly.
He's renting the land. Kim has full rights to purchase it now as he's an approved citizen of NZ, but I'm not sure if his assets are still frozen or not to allow him to do so.
I like that the thing I was most appalled by was how fucking weak the comms are, when me and a couple of police and ex army guys can do much clearer information over teamspeak while saying the same things, on our offtime, they have to really pull those people that were on comms back to training camp. Haven't heard so many uhms and ahs during comms that need to be quick and to the point over such short amount of time before.
All of this for one fat guy who couldn't get far. Pointless raid. A couple of cars near the entrances and exits. And four-five policemen would do the trick, but once again, pointless raid to arrest a guy who had "users" upload their own content. Even the government. Yeah, I would think CP would uploaded, but it's the users fault.
