Multiple reports have been appearing online about a PlayStation Network outage. Reddit, Twitter, and other social media channels are full of players complaining about not being able to go online.
There’s been no previously scheduled maintenance for this time, though Sony did do a bit of work on it earlier today. That light maintenance should have already ended, however.
it goes down every other day
I'm really glad I now have to pay for a service with the same level of lacking quality as the last gen.

don't forget they upped the price recently
I can't play my digital games coz my psn account is still set to primary on my dads PS4, and I'm on the new one I got after I moved out.
I suppose I should get on that but still.
gotta pay for that service to use game servers sony doesn't host~
-snip-
Just re-read the article, PSN's back up.

Biggest BS that keeps me from owning a console (except my wiiU) even for the exclusives. Paying for an INFERIOR service to what I get for free on PC?
Well at least the monthly PS+ games have gotten better since the price increase.

I wouldn't say that. November's are Everybodys Gone to The Rapture and The Deadly Tower of Monsters.

November is a shit month for both platforms.

the free games are incredibly silly anyway, you're paying for a service to get somewhat restricted access to a couple of games a month.

Deadly Tower of Monsters is pretty bitchin though.

Back on PS3 it was pay a monthly fee for some games and cloud storage for saves.
Now on PS4 it's pay monthly fee for online, with some free games thrown in.
And deals.
Well good thing I'm not gonna pay for PS+ :v:

Like, unless you use literally none of the online features of the console, you're going to be paying for that service anyway. Having the extras like games and discounts thrown in is just a nice touch to try and make it not quite as awful as XBox Live used to be.
Interestingly, MS only really started offering games after Sony started to pick up in terms of their userbase, and implemented PS+ which wasn't even required. People still happily put money into it because you were getting 3-4 games (maybe 5 if you had a PSV at the time) for much less than you'd be paying for those games anyway.
It wasn't a required thing for the console, but it still attracted a lot of users. And as a result made their subscriptions significantly less useless as both companies had no choice but to offer games this generation really.
I can see that the switch from free to $60/yr was totally worth it...
I can't remember when we actually got two awesome free games in any month and I've had PS+ for a year.
this month.
resident evil HD and transformers devastation
Dunno if I'm even going to renew PS+ this year.
Ever since I finally got a decent PC, I've barely touched my PS4.
